    He's been a little bit lucky too. He's hitting .378 on groundballs with 17 singles in 45 PAs.

    Good thing we have stats for this. He's swinging at 40% of pitches outside of the strike zone (league average is 30%) but also making contact with pitches outside the zone at an above average rate. Comparable players with his outside swing/contact rates are the likes of Eddie Rosario, Eduardo Escobar, Eduardo Nunez, Dee Gordon.     From a PR perspective there will be riots in the streets if Vlad mashes in September, mashes in spring training and is sent down for 2 weeks at the start of 2019.
