  1. It's probably just a chance for the media to talk to him, seeing as he hasn't been around all season.
  2. I don't know the latest injury, just that he's had shoulder soreness throughout this season.
  3. Atkins just got interviewed on sportsnet. Said they had lots of interest in Sanchez, Donaldson and Stroman but no one was offering what they wanted. edit: water is wet
  4. Heyman says they got 2.5m in bonus money in the Gausman trade, so that could lead to someone interesting. Luis Ortiz was in the Schoop deal and he could be a #3 or #4 starter if things break right (and he doesn't keep getting fat).
  5. They've really stripped it down. That team is going to be bad for a long time.
  6. The Orioles get organizational depth for Gausman. Like, Copping and Waguespack types. I guess Encarnacion is kind of interesting if you squint hard enough. But this trade makes them presently terribad and I don't think it helps them much in the future. Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal 23s23 seconds ago More Source: #Braves sending Encarnacion, Cumberland, Phillips and Zimmerman to #Orioles for Gausman and Darren O’Day.
  7. I could definitely see guys like Granderson and Clippard being August trade candidates.
  8. Copping seems pretty bland but that's better than nothing at all. I don't think he's a guarantee to be added to the 40 man roster in November.
  9. Copping is rule 5 eligible.
  10. Mark Feinsand ‏ Verified account @Feinsand 25s26 seconds ago More Source confirms Blue Jays trade John Axford to Dodgers for RHP Corey Copping.
  11. It's only "boring" if you only follow the Jays. And we already traded Happ, Osuna, Oh before today. There's really nothing else anyone should reasonably expect besides guys like Granderson and Solarte.
  12. http://www.milb.com/images/621097/t449/180x270/621097.jpg thats a big nose
  13. Nah there's a 3rd piece, could be an unimportant piece though.
  14. I read there's a 3rd piece in the deal, but who knows.
  15. He was an undrafted free agent signing back in 2015. Organizations treat those guys like a plate of mashed potatoes.
  16. Yeah it's a little weird. Unless he knows multiple people.
  17. Jays get Jacob Waguespack. 24 years old in AAA, seems like starting pitching depth.
  18. He's pretty much an afterthought. But he's been on the team since 2012, and in the organization since 2006.
  19. Gausman to the Braves. I can't keep up
  20. I think you'd find players on both sides. You would find the ultra competitive ones playing in a meaningless tournament in the spring like the WBC. Votto comes to mind as someone who wants his paycheck and is fine playing for a s***** team.
  21. Where do you have Otto Lopez? And what can you say about him?
  22. Gordon Wittenmyer ‏ @GDubCub 12s13 seconds ago More As pitchers from other teams go off board, hearing Jays pitching among Cubs 11th-hour focus before 3pm (CT) deadline. Toronto had multiple arms available.
  23. Where do you rank Medina on your top 100? I've heard Acosta and Santos are injured. Not sure what the deal is with Monero.
