    On the last part, I hope you're right. I think we need a veteran coach for this job. There must be somebody available who's good.

    I'm giving that one the injury card. Maybe it was and if so not his fault. Boni's play was just horrible.

    Yep hitting was clearly the problem this year. Boni was the only bat that really stunk. That one was on AA.

    Saw McCann in that bench clearing brawl. That's a catcher!!!!

    How many seasons has he been here? How many full seasons has he completed? I'd bet more on Munenori hitting 30 homers than I would on Morrow pitching 200 innings back to back.

    Morrow can't handle the starting workload so what else can you do? 10 - 15 starts isn't going to cut it.

    It sure seems we will have to go after the Japanese pitcher if we want to improve. We are not trading for any starters.

    We've had many discussions on what we need to get next year such as a starter or two, a catcher etc etc. maybe we should look at what trade chips we have and it'll let us know if we have to go free agency, Japan/Cuba or the trade route. I figure we have the following good chips in the minors Sanchez Stroman Nolin Drabek Hutchison Baretto In the majors we could give up a reliever or two or a bat or two if a rebuild occurs. This tells me that we could pull off one trade but would need a free agent acquisition.

    Wouldn't that be interesting: teams with no home cities. Just traveling all the time. It could work if revenue were shared.

    The only way we win this is 1-0. And that scores on an error.

    We should do a poll on who gets tossed. My bets are Walker, Murphy and maybe Rivera. Sal Fasano, if he can do it, joins the major league staff.

    While I always liked Hentgen as a pitcher I don't understand how he gets credit for the bullpen. That was the only area of concentration this year. Motolla worked with Lawrie and did get something out of him. I get the feeling nobody on this staff amounts to much.

    The article reminded me of the situation with Buck Martinez. I remember there were whispers of no work on fundamentals.

    Check out Griffins article today. More evidence that the manager and most of the coaches need to be replaced.

    We should also have moved the expiring contracts. But we didn't.

    I was going to say spring training road game but yes. That's a bad lineup.

    I thought Darvish could play here and he has. I find it a rarity. I don't think many Japanese pitchers can do it here.

    One stat I would look at is games pitched per year. He's not that high. I wanted Darvish here, not sure about this guy.
