    If Drabek could only have a consistent approach to pitching he would turn it around. Not easy to do though.

    I agree he profiles more like a 2b. It's more common for a guy to go from the if to the of though. Would be funny if he's the one who eventually makes it.

    How is the money going to be spent elsewhere? No other useful free agents available, we're a last place team we have to improve piece by piece.

    Who cares if he costs 100 million. It's not your money. The question is if the addition of the player improves the team or not. The cost of acquiring him is a second round pick and essentially the player he would replace. If you want to argue that he won't do that, I can understand it.

    Why would the Yankees be paying more. I can understand a kid wanting some cash but this sounded more like a team preference. It used to be that Toronto was a favourite place but then Gillick ran the show, Epy Guerrero was THE scout and Beeston was respected by everyone.

    Why would a kid want to sign with the Yankees. That only guarantees they will play anywhere but New York.

    If a player were to get more than the contract then they probably would be traded. But generally I think you have it.

    Mosey would have been a superb left fielder. His CF abilities were meh.

    Better statistics would probably be based on standard deviations of innings and runs per game. Quality start is such an arbitrary line.

    Leadership is not right. ARod gets suspended, Yankees don't get charged a thing, while they benefitted from his play. All that and Pete Rose is banned for life. Not right.
