  1. Maybe Moneyball was correct about Shapiro: no idea what he's doing and relies only on bad advice. In the movie he had a big group of advisors but didn't know which one to go to. He had a bad offseason and the prior one he gave away a great catcher and power outfielder and acquired 4th outfielder. Time to send Shapiro away.
  2. The good part is the team has money to invest in the resources. The bad part is that the senior management don't know how to develop the assets or which assets to acquire.
  3. The worst is the C-Suckers. The ones that take stupid ideas from management and say that is what they want all along. This year's C-Sucker of the year goes to anyone who didn't want to upgrade the offense because we'd get improvements from the pile of turds leftover.
  4. Guerrero avg: .172 ops: .590 THAT'S A PITCHER'S NUMBERS!!!
  5. You sure about this? Guerrero was hitting .179 before the last strikeout. Might as well get the pitchers hitting.
  6. God I f***ING HATE Vlad these days. The entitlement is just over the top. SHould be holding his head in shape and apologizing to the audience.
  7. He'll go the Bellinger route
  8. Yes, Vladdy making him toss his cookies too much
  9. Vlad needs to be impaled on the bench! Love the Buck comment that he'd love him to be a hitter.
  10. The only way Vlad could get an RBI.
  11. Should we start a betting pool on which of the hitting coaches get punted first? Mattingly and Martinez being the main candidates. I used to love Mattingly as the Yankees 1b, but as coach: not so much.
  12. Maybe need to send a statement and send up a pinch hitter for Vlad. Maybe one of the pitchers, couldn't be any worse.
  13. Parsons arm actually looks better than it did last year. Maybe just needs to learn to use it a bit better.
  14. space filler until some others return. Starter #9 or 10?
  15. Wes Parsons outrighted. No surprise.
  16. I agree on this, I think he could walk enough to do it.
  17. Yes Springer has looked better than his results, I agree. I'm just thinking Schneider could lead off then Bichette who should warm up a bit, then Vlad and then a real left fielder with some power. Varsho is proving to be a great 4th outfielder, nothing more. I don't know if we could swap some pitching for a real hitter.
  18. The pitching has pretty much been as advertised and I'm okay with it. Romano and Swanson type situations are to be expected and will return making a strong bullpen. The offense seems to be the problem and this continues from prior year. So no, not a small sample size at all. I'd say, as the roster was constructed, the one hitter and no hitter was foreseeable. The comment that all the hitters would improve was either an unfounded dream or an outright lie. Springer needs to be dropped to like 8th in the order and Vladdy the Worm Burner needs a bigger bat behind him. Somebody he looks up to. Ohtani could have been the kind of guy that would cure the offense. KK and IKF are not.
  19. I'm done. Love to see Schneider's excuse for this. No hit then shut out. Gonna take a few days away from this and watch hockey. This sucks!!
  20. Swinging bunts for our only hits. We're the ugly girl in a bad porn flick.
  21. are you sure, the follow through seemed different. But yes he needs at bats.
  22. Schneider's swing looks a bit different from prior year.
  23. The way the Jays are hitting, it's like the spring time minor leaguers on the road. Berrios though is earning his pay. The offense should apologize to him.
  24. are we playing one short in the bullpen today?
