This is yet another example of how we shouldn't go all 100% in advanced metrics. You always need to look at the current context of the club. If we valued metrics over everything else, of course you make a trade for Price. But when you consider the failures of this team and why we have stunk since May, I don't see Price as making a huge enough difference to overcome the offense. Then you have to consider the cost of Price. If you wish to believe Elliot, it doesn't make sense trading away 3 of our top prospects, plus a solid MLB pitcher for 1 1/2 year of Price.
