  1. I don't see Lester as a guy who would want to play in Toronto. Lester made comments that he will take into consideration where his family will feel comfortable, and I just don't see Toronto being a part of that. What other FA pitching is available? If we can't sign any, we may have to explore the option of pestering Amaro...
  2. Does Beeston really hate Boras to the point that he will not negotiate with him? That's pathetic and petty. I wonder what Beeston would do if Bautista or any key player on this team switched agents.
  3. keithlaw @keithlaw · 35m 35 minutes ago Failed prospect traded for non-prospect. GM Meetings Fever - catch it!
  4. Well then I guess he deserved it. Shame his girlfriend had to suffer through it.
  5. Hellickson being traded to the NL or at least, it's in the process of being worked out http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/11/rays-working-on-hellickson-trade-with-nl-team.html
  6. We dont' even have enough money to pay the hitting coach. This is going to be a bad offseason.
  7. of course payroll is going up - that is the cost of paying the salaries of our players that are currently going up. But is the payroll going to increase enough to cover the costs of adding additional players/
  8. really good summary of the 2014 Jays roster value http://imgur.com/a/jf8u5
  9. Steve Simmons is a ****, but he has a point. He just put it across in a ****ish way. We know what Bautista said after the trade deadline. And it just showed last night, or rather, in the 2nd half of the season, just how meaningless trades are. Oakland entered the post season with the worst 2nd half winning % in history after making huge trades. KC did very little and got in. Just shows that you can't make trades for the sake of it.
  10. $240/10m with Seattle Split that among 5 years, that's 48m per year.
  11. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/the-most-extreme-home-runs-of-2014/ Most extreme homers of 2014...the most hilarious one is Rizzo's homer.
  12. http://giant.gfycat.com/ZanyKaleidoscopicCirriped.gif nasty
  13. Either way, the argument whether amphetamine should be removed from the list is an entirely different issue guys. It was stated in the rules and he knew about it. Not to mention it gave him an advantage over legit players who chose not to circumvent the rules. And he chose to ignore it twice (this is his 2nd offense).
  14. you should see stoeten bitch about it
  15. It's a blow to the team but not significant. He's s*** this year.
  16. I'll take "Comments that I thought I'd never see if we were from 5 years ago for $1500, Alex"
  17. Imagine that being the 1-2-3 rotation for the Cubs, plus Arrieta? And then they bring up Almora & Bryant... #DYNASTY
  18. I love Theo. I'm also scared of him, the guy is a stud. How he pulled a top 5 milb prospect for Samardz, who wasn't even the best player available is insane.
  19. really good article shows that he thought he was going to get drafted by the red sox, and talks about the Cubs prospects. He knows a lot about them, and even keeps up with the #'s http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/cubs/29789272-573/marcus-stroman-has-high-praise-for-cubs-prospects.html#.VBC6Hy5dXR1
  20. The one who reported it is a former reporter for fox sports west, so it's not a nobody. also a dallas personality has heard the same thing
  21. Washington left the Rangers not because of cocaine use, but because he hit on an asian reporter http://thescoopsports.wordpress.com/2014/09/10/ron-washington-departed-over-legal-issues/
