    AA said he deferred the decision to Gibbons, which is stupid, because I doubt Gibbons understands player options and all that junk. Should never have reached that point to allow him to make a decision.

    Didn't AA say yesterday or a few days ago that as a GM he realizes now that talent is not the only important thing, but clubhouse chemistry and a winning attitude?

    as far as I can see, yes. He has 3 years in the bigs, and he has yet to be optioned this year. I'm not sure that if we were to option him today, call him up in a month and option him again that makes him exposed.

    Can anyone here provide devils advocate and try to justify this move? AA/Gibby said they wanted to give Revere the full time job. OK. Whatever. So then stick Valencia at 1B as a platoon, put down Colabello since he has options. If I'm Bautista I'm f***ing livid.
