  1. I selected that sample because it is relevant that he started off the year like s*** and then progressed and improved. It would be a different story if I selected random starts from different points in the season.
  2. Jenkins is currently a reliever, so he'd have to be stretched out too. if only we still had Norris...
  3. Sanchez finished off with plenty of good starts https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/9635/gamelog/ 5 of his last 6 starts were quality starts and his walk rate showed signs of stabilizing.
  4. Good article on AA's thought process on acquiring Price/Tulo. http://grantland.com/the-triangle/mlb-2015-trade-deadline-alex-anthopolous-interview-david-price-troy-tulowitzki-blue-jays/?ex_cid=story-twitter
  5. Moving forward I'm pretty concerned about our last two spots in the rotation - Estrada and Hutchison. Estrada is not this good. So far he's had an abnormally good fly ball rate and fly ball/HR rate. However, I don't think he's going to s*** the bed so much that he will be kicked out of the rotation. Hutchison, however, worries me. His numbers show that he has been very unlucky, but when you actually watch his starts, he's serving up a ton of meatballs. The only thing I can give Hutchison credit for is that he doesn't seem unfazed by it. But what if we get an injury? We are due for one, honestly. The only options that come to mind are Randy Wolf, Scott Copeland and Jeff Francis. It would have been great if we could have kept Norris and shipped out Pompey instead, but whatever. Do you think it is possible that the Jays could entertain putting Sanchez back in the rotation? He may need 3 starts though. Remember, before Sanchez got injured he threw 8 innings of 1 run ball
  6. This is my new favorite pic. The moment Bautista realized he murdered a baseball
  7. Of f***ing course he's not going to be a starter. There is no time for him to be stretched out sufficiently, especially coming off surgery. If you did that he'd arrive at end of September.
  8. IDGAF Flags fly forever!
  9. well now I gotta try some beef wellington. Anyone know of any good spots in TO?
  10. 1st base is an obvious upgrade that can be made. AA should just go to Rogers and say - "I need an extra $50 million in payroll" He then proceeds to sign 2 pitchers (including Price) and take on Votto's contract.
  11. He doesn't need any more money. And if he really wanted to win a World Series he'd just sign a one year cheap deal with NTC with Cardinals.
  12. Prince Fielder has taken a shift from premier slugger to slugger/slap hitter.
  13. Danny Valencia has done well against righties this year. Majority of his HR came against righties. Watch him become the next Bau..
  14. Hawkins fastball highest rated for today http://www.pitcherlist.com/max-scherzers-fastball-the-best-pitches-from-tuesdays-games/
  15. Yeah Friday summer things southwest of the RC in that open court area.
  16. stupid sexy sanchez http://giant.gfycat.com/GrimyDigitalHoiho.webm
  17. Trout seriously needs to GTFO of the AL.
  18. Still can't believe we got Tulo TULOf***INGWITZKI 5 WAR PLAYER
  19. He reminds me of that Joey guy from BSB
  20. This. Bautista was once a family man, and now he's all caught up in personal drama. Doesn't help that Donaldson is now the alpha male and he can't do anything about it.
  21. What? Thursdays game is not an afternoon game?!!
  22. Off the top of my head: -ROM -Casa Loma -Distillery District -Ripleys -Scarborough Bluffs/Woodbine Beach -Centre Island for beach/biking/views Random tips: -If you plan on travelling a lot for the day, buy a TTC day pass. -If you want a filling meal before the game, I always eat at the Quiznos at Wellington/John Street, which is just north of the Rogers Centre (near the power station) -If you want to leave the Rogers Centre and beat the crowds, go to St. Andrew station rather than Union Station -The harborfront is a good place to walk and check out local entertainment and events. There's also a small artificial beach there. -If you want to splurge on your wife, go head to Yorkdale, the largest upscale mall in Canada. You may meet some high roller ballplayers there too (Lawrie used to frequent the sushi resto up there). You may also want to walk around Yorkville which is more of a shopping lane -A good place to eat but very pricey is Jacob's Steakhouse which is on the west end around King and Spadina. Best steakhouse in Toronto. Expect $300 for Wagyu or $150 for the 'lesser' steaks.
  23. I'm loving new strike throwing Sanchez.
  24. I like the move. Martin needs to be protected. Don't want to f*** up his hitting with a thumb injury
