Projections take emotion out player evaluation and let the numbers start the conversation rather than s*** like "he's just a guy that brings his lunch pail to work, plays hard, and gets his uniform dirty..." This is also known as the Kevin Towers scouting model. It's isn't about "trusting" projections, they're just a starting point of a conversation that asks questions that might not otherwise get asked.

Hardly, just took one badly hit ball for granted. Playing deep at SS and the slugger hits a dribbler that he double clutched... He just has to remind himself not to take anything for granted. And no, I'm not saying he's a plus defender, but he's not bad. -
Edwin is sneaky fast for a slugger. Not like plus speed or anything, but he can get up the line decent for a 1b

Don't understand why you'd hit and run with Gose against Lester... That's a throw out waiting to happen. Maybe they get lucky on the challenge, but that's still a bad gamble. And f***s sakes... pillar looks like Pinocchio from Shrek.

He and Smith Jr are forming a nice tandem in the Dunedin OF. Smith Jr has just 1 less walk than K this year so far with a nice all around game. He's only 5'11 so his power might not have the kind of ceiling you'd want in a corner OF, but so far hasn't been a liability against LHP as a LHB, that's a plus.

I've only managed to hit 3 parks. The old dump in Seattle before they imploded it for a real field, AT&T in San Fran (amazing park) and Fenway (great history, but painfully full of Sox fans, kinda ruins everything)

Still swings and misses too much to be truly valuable..... but, I don't know how the Jays can keep both Lind and Francisco on the team. Two all bat DH lefties with no real defensive value is just too much.
