  1. Depending on the team they might want Yesavage ++ And it all depends if the ace is a rental or not. Rental acquisition costs are not what they used to be
  2. They've put themselves in a playoff position without him all season and have a completely solid rotation without him.... so trading him away to fill their actual areas of weakness makes a ton of sense, and even more when you factor in the 12ish million dollars it saves them. There's also a defensible argument to keep him but, there's no doubt if they ever want to capitalize on him when they really don't NEED him, it would be at the deadline if he has some great starts between now and July 31
  3. Nah, Vlad would have just watched it go by. at least Barger knows he should be swinging at them
  4. Hell ya, weather save the pen and the streak. Everything is coming up Milhouse.
  5. I really hope they split that series. Id rather neither team make up much ground if the Jays don't do what they should against the As
  6. I believe you to be correct. It would fall under "If a regulation game is terminated early due to weather, the results are considered final if the home team is leading. If the home team is trailing, the results are considered final if the game is not in the midst of an inning when the visiting team has taken the lead." That is the situation they are in. But my bet is they only call it if the rain delay is going to be hours and hours long since tomorrow is a day game. a one hour delay they probably just keep going and play late.
  7. POssible make up dates... July 31st - both are off, Chicago would have just finished a home stand and Jays would be on the road in Baltimore the previous 3 days. Problem though being the Jays are already scheduled for a double dip as a make up game from April during that series and would also mean they would then be playing 21 games in 20 days with no off day. No thanks. August 21st - same situation as above as far as home/away goes but ... this would cause Chicago to be playing 24 days in a row. Pretty sure that's not cool even though they're way out of it. Sept 22, would mean 20 game days in a row for Toronto to end the season. Sept 29 or 30th would be the only real make up days - the 2 days after the season "ends" but theyd only do it if it mattered to the Jays standings .
  8. it could... now that I think about it. TOmorrow's game is already a day game starting at 1pm Chicago time. To play the rest of this game tomorrow before that game they'd have to start at like... 10am. They don't play in Chicago again for the rest of the season, so... what they only way to really complete a suspended game would be to ... play it out directly after tomorrow's game, which would be all kinds of weird.... or try to find an off day on a White Sox home stand that both teams have off to finish off 2.5 innings plus 1 out. That would also be goofy. Maybe they suspend it, and only finish at the tail end of the season if it matters to the Jays playoff seeding.
  9. I doubt they'll call the game if the delay is only expected to be an hour. If they did though, it would go down as 6-1 after 6 innings and 7th would just never have existed correct?
  10. Red Sox are quietly on a bit of a heater, winning 5 straight and now just 1.5 back of Tampa for the last WC spot.
  11. Yanks are making Seattle their bitch right now. At least Tampa lost
  12. Rain delay gonna make sure Bassitt can't go out again. That truly blows.
  13. He still might, but it's frustrating as hell watching a guy with the talent to be a 180 wRC+ hitter languish with a paltry 132.
  14. Half a billion dollar talent with a 10 cent head.
  15. It's only a matter of time before Skynet activates.
  16. As someone who is in school for becoming a Dietitian, I can say confidently that nearly any type of calorie restriction eating pattern, when accompanied by resistance training, will result in weight/fat loss and at least muscle maintenance and not muscle loss (assuming no genetic or broken metabolic factors, and it's done correctly) I'm actually in the middle of a module on sports dietetics this very minute while the game is on lol
  17. Clement is in "foul off everything in the general vicinity of the plate" mode
  18. Nothing wrong with low carb for weight loss, it's actually protein and muscle sparing if done correctly.
  19. I truly dont understand how the Jays never fare well against soft tossers. Sit soft, adjust to the fastball. He's just lobbing up curve ball after curve ball and theyre way our front everytime.
  20. Double plays or double penetration... either way you are correct sir as long as it's not happening to you
  21. Bassitt actually drives me crazy winding the pitch clock down to near 0 every friggin time lol
  22. Come on Bassitt, settle down. Need you to not f'n suck tonight
  23. Who doesnt love a good 3-way?
