  1. Other international FAs have been decent. Kirk, Yariel, LGJr.
  2. True enough, just going by fangraphs ratings.
  3. 2 40+ prospects.... Equivalent from the Jays would be 2 of Macko, Bastardo, Barreira, King, Maroudis, possibly Bloss if hes considered to have fallen to a 40+
  4. He threw in the futures game and got a K. Rojas got lit up tonight also. 4.1 IP, 9 hits...2 HR, 5 ER. Bright side? No walks and struck out 7 Macko had a decent night finally! 5 IP with 1 hit, 2 walks and 5 K. Brought his ERA down to a solid 6.90
  5. I don't know a ton about swing mechanics and feet movement but is it normal for the back foot to lift off the ground completely during a swing?
  6. Naylor trade return for the Diamondbacks: 2 prospects rated as 45s (by MLB.com)... LHP Brandyn Garcia and RHP Ashton Izzi Fangraphs rates both guys as 40+ Izzi is 21 at High A and not doing overly well... Garcia is 25, spent most of the season at AA, got 1 start in AAA and threw 2 innings for the Mariners and got his tits lit.
  7. He's not really tradeable, hes really DFAable tho.
  8. Absolutely. If anyone deserves it on this staff right now, its him
  9. Vieirling did well to track that Vladdy liner down...slicing away from him
  10. I absolutely leave him in. 77 pitches through 7... they're in the middle of a 14games in 13 days stretch, guve the pen a night off and only wake up Green if Lauer has a bad 8th.
  11. I almost feel for the Tigers... Barger destroyed 2 baseballs early in the game for outs, they correctly walk him to pitch to Clement... who promptly gives them a 3-run f*ck you. It's actually scary how everything keeps going as right as it possibly can for the Jays right now
  12. The odd man out goes to the pen as the long man... if anything I think Scherzer would be that guy given the thumb concerns and how its mainly about # of pitches. There's no easy answer right now. I just hope Gausman keeps pitching like he did against the Yanks and Bassitt keeps on keeping on 6 man rotation is also possible
  13. No doubt. Varsho is so many tiers better than Straw with the bat, its not close
  14. Tork got himself a rare hanging slidrr from Lauer... thank God he missed it We just cant take him out of the starters role for some other mid-rotation SP can we?
  15. More than likely his elbow is just a flare-up of what hes been dealing with the past 2 seasons or so and just happened to flare up during the ankle thing.
  16. Lauer continues to impress. 56 pitches through 5 innings...
  17. Target him in the offseason, not now.
  18. I think it would help, as long as he actually replaces someone on the current roster, like Lukes or Loperfido and pushed the other to a nearly pure bench role... It also wouldn't be a primary target kind of thing, just a "if we can... we may as well" kind of thing.
  19. Pure speculation... but i guess that's what the trade deadline is for. If Kwan replaced Lukes... I guess that would be where he'd fit best right now, but then they'd still be looking for that RH bat off the bench, unless they've settled on Schneider being that guy Kwan + Clase would be wonderful.
  20. Kid is clearly a monster for his age, but ... who knows how that tracks over the next two. Obviously it's not written in stone that he's signing but for a kid to be his age, playing against 17 and 18 year olds... that's impressive.
  21. Just For Men is missing a glorious opportunity for Atkins as their next spokesperson. Look at the alpha. Pure f*cking boss.
  22. He's already 6'2... and hes probably actually 25
  23. Good god that's a bad call... from a lefty no less there's just no way that ball ever came close. If a sick sweeper from a RHP ended up there you can kinda understand how the ump might get it wrong but... thats just awful
  24. I very much doubt the team is going to subtract from their starting lineup at the deadline.
