  1. Sure. It would have to be more than a rental though.
  2. Always nice not having to throw strikes and being ahead of hitters, cmon ump
  3. Hard to judge when it's Fielder on first, you don't have to worry about him stealing
  4. Btw, if anyone isn't watching on sportsnet, this is today's mlb tv free game
  5. Nt bad on the out of town scoreboard, Tampa and Baltimore both losing right now
  6. Gotta be showcasing for a trade, there's no other reason for it
  7. Cuz AA has a fetish for HR prone flyball pitchers in the most pitcher unfriendly division in baseball.
  8. This is why this clown shouldnt be on the rubber as a starter. He has to nibble to be effective and doesn't have the command for that.
  9. Send him to the bench where he belongs?
  10. Jeez JD, at least make him throw strikes
  11. Nice to see the umps strike zone is 6 feet wide again
  12. I did. I jst don't hit send.... fack
  13. It could simply be solved by mlb not allowing every single player to be on the ballot, and waiting longer to open the voting. Wait until June 1, then put the 5 top guys at each position and those are your only choices, with one write in vote.
  14. 4th OF please. If Pillar is seen as a long term OF option as a starter... player evaluation on this team is awful.
  15. Well when the question of the thread is whether or not he can stick, presumably the question would be can he stick long term. Since there more to long term thinking than a current hot streak with the bat, and defense is a thing that helps win ball games... and he sux at, regardless if it's 1b, LF or anywhere .... and it's not possible to sustain his current hot streak, it bears mentioning in people's arguments that don't see him as a long term piece, along g with their reasoning as to why. Seeing 1 person mount an argument and then 75 people say "I agree" or " I disagree" isn't exactly meaningful discourse.
  16. We're talking about a guy sporting a .463 babip. He's unreal right now, but it will cease at some point. And his defense is downright fugly. Pick any evaluation method, be it uzr, total zone, runs saved, eye test....he fails them all horribly. He's a feel good story, but midnight will eventually strike and then it's pumpkin time.
  17. Still think Sanchez needs a cutter to really take the next step. He doesn't really throw anything hard that moves glove side which would really be useful and make his 2 seamer even more effrctive and less predictable for hitters
  18. I threw up in my mouth a little.
  19. When is baseball gonna wake up and realize anytime Friedman is asking you about a player, you should probably take a really long look at why he's interested. Guy has made other GMs look stupid for 10 years
  20. Yeah. Nothing says compete like running players out there to hit when their shoulder is messed up. or ribs... players at 50% capacity really help
  21. So what did Smoak do to get benched for the last what... 2 weeks? can't tell me you can't give him some DH ABs at some point here.
  22. If Casey has lost the room, then he's gotta go. but some things are obvious. If you don't play d, buhbye
