    True but Chapman isn't just elite, Miller isn't just elite, they're basically the best of the best of the best and have been for years. Jansen and Betances probably round out the top tier of relievers over the past 3 seasons that Osuna has been around. The Chapman and Miller trades both netted a top 30ish prospect and some throw ins. I don't think Washington would then find it agreeable to trade a top 10 prospect who they're probably counting in to fill part of Harpers shoes if he leaves, for more of a package that arguably the best 2 relievers in the game went for.... even if he's under control for three more seasons after this one. His arbitration deals will actually cost them money because he's got dem savez! Chapman was a rental they resigned,, but Miller was under control.

    He does in reality, but teams don't pay big in trade for defense only players, regardless of how many wins they actually add with it. A 4 WAR all bat no d player would net far more in trade than a 4 WAR defender with no bat. Rightly or wrongly, that's the mlb we live in

    I guess, but in reality the only way the jays trade prospects now is if they get legit stars under team control back. Since that's incredibly unlikely, they really aren't available

    Jays still haven't figured out the ump isn't calling the low strike zone, yet still swinging away at low pitches, especially out if the zone.

    Jays won't be paying his full remaining salary this season, if at all, and he's a free agent after this season. Combine this with the Grilli trade and the Jays are probably no higher in payroll than they were before.

    Raps are heading into luxury tax penalties now with that deal. Too bad I guess, a willingness to spend is needed in today's NBA but since they're already hitched up to the DeRozan dead horse there's no way they win a title

    Yeah I get your dream .... but Osuna would never return Robles alone let alone Robles++ The Donaldson for Devers++ thing is more realistic though.
