  1. If you have to ask, it's probably a bad thing....
  2. For pitchers especially, who have much higher risk of career de-railing injuries, there quite a few reasons why long term extensions could be signed from the pitchers POV But that's also generally why you don't see teams offering long extensions to pitchers who still have years of control left. There's not a ton of upside for FOs to do so with that risk of injury plus the inherent volatility of pitchers in general
  3. I'm reserved, I always wait until about 10 am Sunday to set the lineup. Gotta know about rain.
  4. Thing is, the Jays aren't really in the position that they'll be counting on this years draft to start the rebuild. Selling many of the veteran assets they have right now will net prospects and or roster players already further along in development, not to mention the current farm assets that might be ready by 2019. The additional draft picks from finishing near last this year and probably next will just add to that pipeline and be a bonus 3-4 years from now.
  5. I'd say the chances are pretty likely it starts this year, but the chances of good returns on Jose, Tulo.... not very good. Huge return could be expected for Donaldson. Maybe good returns for Happ, Estrada, Osuna and Liriano.... The real test of the start of the rebuild will be if they choose to move Sanchez and/or Stroman. Young controllable pitchers that don't suck are quite valuable in trade. Stripping it down that far would be debateable given they don't have anything in the pipeline for pitching at this point that you could deem major league ready.
  6. That would awfully aggressive. Spending 2 months+ at Lansing and then, if they're still raking, I could see a promoton to Dunedin, but I very highly doubt they'll see AA this season unless they're out of their minds still and the FO just wants them to get a taste OF AA and plan on starting them there in 2018. So, possible I guess, but not likely
  7. Celtics and Wizards both wrapped up their series tonight.
  8. Pentecost actually caching tonight in Dunedin. 2 for 2 so far. Jansen also 2 for 2 .. at Dh
  9. So is McGuire going up to AAA? If so, it might open the door for Jansen to go to AA and Pentacost to actually start catching again
  10. Nice! On to the yearly beating by CLEVELAND!
  11. Do not give up an open 3....
  12. Lol, they literally tried tackling DeRozan there
  13. And still is. Refs doing everything they can to give the bucks the game. Derozan is getting mugged, hit, struck, and mauled every time and no calls. It's quite pathetic
  14. Are they surprised or something that the bucks were going to pressure the Inbound? Just standing around watching....
  15. Don't mind JV in here, he's the best free throw shooter on the floor
  16. No kidding. That kind of thing should be 3-5 times per game, instead it's. ... maybe Once? And if course, no foul call even though he was hit by 3 different bucks on the way up lololol
  17. I guarantee that stat is about 5 turnovers low.
  18. Fixed that for you
  19. On the plus side, the physicality is kind of entertaining. People are literally 2 hand shoving guys around and not getting called.
  20. This happens way too often to the Raptors to be anything other than a problem with the players and/or coaching. 25 point lead halfway through the third and they go straight into kill the clock mode, slow ..... deliberate...... obvious ...... and it bites them every time. Why not keep playing the same way that got you the giant lead to start with? And ffs stop letting Derozan handle the f***ing basketball. He's an automatic turnover
  21. And how many Turnovers?
  22. I also like the Pensacola Blue Wahoos
  23. Good thing too, it was well on its way to a blowout until Tucker came in to replace Carroll, who was being abused by Giannis. Powell also very steady so far. They have been a tad lucky with the Bucks missing some wide open 3s, but at least they've somewhat started to contain Giannis Also nice to see a pretty even whistle from the refs so far
  24. It's already primarily NFL 24/7, but what I don't get is why they're ditching basically the only sport played nationally in the summer. That can't be good business when the gap from NBA playoffs to NFL camp is ... basically the MLB season. Edit... I watched about 3 minutes of the Dan LeBatard show today.... how is that even remotely popular?
