  1. The plate is 3 feet wide today though... kinda hard to protect all of it
  2. That's pretty much Tabby on the button, though I'm not sure "intelligent manner" is the right phrase. He just doesn't speak in the way our demographic needs to take in information. I don't care about players thighs and how big they are.
  3. It's possible he knows a lot about baseball, but listening to him talk about it certainly isn't evidence of that.
  4. Buffalo and New Hampshire both rained out, Dunedin and Lansing were off. So here's to the f***ing weather http://replygif.net/i/181.gif
  5. No kidding, I wonder what weekend it will fall on this year
  6. That's about every other day in Alberta this spring. Calgary is getting 20 cm of snow today
  7. Vlad Guerrero Jr. was named the Eastern League Player of the Week on Monday. Analysis:The 19-year-old is on a tear to start his first season at the Double-A level. Through nine games, he's hitting .361/.419/.639 with a pair of homers. He has more walks (five) than strikeouts (four), just as he did at both of his minor-league stops last season. If his hot start continues, he could be up at Triple-A before long, which an outside shot at a promotion to the big leagues at some point later this season. Also named as the #4 on the first BA Prospect Hot Sheet of 2018: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Blue Jays 3B Notes: Team: Double-A New Hampshire (Eastern) Age: 19 Why He’s Here: .361/.419/.639 (13-for-36), 7 R, 4 2B, 2 HR, 12 RBIs, 5 BB, 4 SO The Scoop: Guerrero looks more like a major league veteran on a rehab assignment than he does a 19-year-old in Double-A. A teenager among men, Guerrero hits the ball like a man among boys, showing 70 raw power in batting practice by hitting the ball out of the stadium to his pull side and drilling line drives that carry all the way to the right field fence. The frightening part is that Guerrero’s power might end up being his second-best tool. He combines ferocious bat speed with great bat control, excellent strike-zone discipline and hitting acumen far beyond his years, making him one of the game’s brightest young hitters. 8. I really want Kershaw to opt out.... Kershaw, Harper, Machado and Donaldson in the FA pool together is a baseball fan's wet dream.. not to mention their agents. MVP sports group has both Donaldson and Machado so they are just drooling right now and hoping they both stay healthy and rake this year.
  9. he was just referencing that Grandy's cleats from Jackie Robinson day were going to be going to the HOF.
  10. Well that's just stupid.... lol. But it was done with the scientific method in mind, so you learned something.
  11. Sigh... so much to learn..... What you do is make your popcorn, drizzle unsalted butter, than sprinkle a mixture of crushed parmesan cheese and whatever spices you like... such as paprika, or maybe a chili salt. Unsalted butter because parm is plenty salty N00b
  12. RIP no hitter, soon to be just another start And probably a lame fangraphs article tomorrow about how amazing it could have been.
  13. Has he even thrown anything other than a 2 seam fastball?
  14. Yeah, the late LAA cancellation was garbage. I figure 10 minutes before game time is pretty safe, but it wasnt
  15. Everything was postponed including 2 doubleheaders from previously rained out games. Dunedin started their game but it was suspended in the 5th inning. Pompey was 2 for 3 with a HR at the time of the suspension. That's the only semi-interesting thing worth noting. f*** the weather.
  16. I intentionally leftt that game alone because of the weather, and the angels game had no indication of being postponed until like 5 mines before it started. I checked ike 10 minutes before our entry deadline and that game was still listed as a go.
  17. I lost 2 guys to that angels game.... ffs
  18. Might want check your Braves players friendo
  19. Sale Lively Weiters Pujols Flores Frazier Difo Harper Trout Herrera
  20. Players of the day: Logan Warmoth, Vlad Jr, Connor Panas Honourbale Mentions: Riley Adams, Bo Bichette, Sean Reid-Foley
  21. 1 swinging and 1 looking. Obviously the looking K was a terrible call by the ump and I can only assume the swinging K was a check swing that they also got egregiously wrong. Pitiful these umps have to try and screw over a stud like this.
  22. It's probably the last point you made. They've stated publicly that it hasn't gotten worse, it just wasn't getting better. Whether that's 100% true or not is up for debate but obviously they'd rather him miss 10 days in April than 2 months later on if they could have done something to avoid it.
