  1. I made it through most of the 2nd quarter before I just couldn't anymore. Not because they were behind at the time, it was just horrible basketball to watch. Not entertaining at all.
  2. Forbes just ranked Oriole Park at Camden Yards the 2nd best park in the majors behind AT&T Park and ahead of Busch Stadium. Rogers Centre was 22nd. No suprise really that the white sox park, Oakland, and Tampa were the bottom 3. https://www.forbes.com/sites/maurybrown/2018/03/19/ranking-all-30-of-mlbs-ballparks-first-to-worst/#280b31566be4
  3. I would agree with this assessment, I just feel the health bug is going to kill that dream and knock them back towards 80 wins
  4. The polite way of saying he propels himself at the pace of a glacier
  5. Sunday works best for me
  6. Lol... pair... that's not even worthy of effort. 5 minimum or gtfo

Safe to say that Seattle will be getting an expansion team very soon?
  8. While cool, what would really be nice is having phone plans in Canada that aren't complete gouging. The comparison between US and Canada cell/data plans is not even close.
  9. That's kinda my point. I don't think the "fan base" as a whole hates Stroman at all, but the small minority that does ... really hates him. He's nowhere near Phil Kessel level.
  10. Possibly, but do they attach the same douche factor? Or do they just eat it up like Skittles and marvel at his amazingness?
  11. I think the hate is pretty well confined to this message board. The casuals probably don't see or hear any of what he puts out there.
  12. Not to mention some kid named Halladay pitched the bottom of the 8th for Team Canada, 3 up and 3 down
  13. Jays win 80 Yankees vs Dodgers WS, Dodgers win and MLB executives have a collective erections for the entire winter over the WS ratings
  14. I think Atlanta is a lot closer to their contention window than the Jays are. Pitching isn't there yet, but their offense/defense is already on the cusp of being Cubs-esque from a few seasons ago with Freeman, Albies, Acuna, Swanson, Inciarte, Tucker....

  16. s*** youre right, totally forgot about him. Having a useless Morales on this team really makes the OF a logjam. Blasting him to the moon would greatly simplify things. However, an inevitable injury to someone will probably unjam it for the most part all season long
  17. With a very pedestrian (for him) 6 fWAR season this year he would already be a top 120 all time hitter by the time he is 27.
  18. It's likely Hernandez starts in the bigs along with a Granderson/Pearce platoon, Pillar in CF. Alford, Smith Jr and Pompey would be the AAA outfielders (assuming all healthy) likely with Fields as the 4th OF and playing regularly when one of them is inevitably injured.
  19. I think it's because the jump in talent from High A to AA is greater than the jump from AA to AAA.
  20. Smoak hits 40 HR. Tulo and Travis combine for more than 200 games. Morales squeaks into positive baserunning value. Donaldson gets hurt on day 2, gone for the season.
  21. For Hurl's sake, and the eyesight of anyone unlucky enough to see the result of that, I hope not.
  22. It's a common misconception that the pitching in AA is a higher calibre than AAA. Yes, the very top pitching prospect for a team maybe in AA, but that's usually 1 guy out of entire rotation, with the rest filled out by journeyman minor leaguers who may not even have sniffed AAA. The average age of pitchers in AA last season was over 24 in all 3 AA leagues. Yes, AAA is typically older guys who once we're in the majors and are trying to hang on and get another shot, bUT they could still pitch better than AA rotations as a whole.
