  1. It's just filling time... and honestly, we stat heads are still a huge minority of MLB fans. The 55+ year olds that Buck was talking to probably really enjoyed his amazing insight into the game, regardless if it was made up or not. Me, i would have approached it differently, and said something like... "well they could be talking about upcoming hitters in the next inning, or what restaurant they're going to after the game... who knows?" that would foster some nice back and forth with Dan - who would naturally then have asked "what did you talk about during the games in your day.. was it more about the game itself or other things?" THIs then gives Buck the chance to be both informative and funny if he wants to be with his reply "most of the time we were talking about the game and focused on what was happening, but sometimes... sometimes we would talk about *insert non game related story here*"
  2. Skewing perspectives is 99% of television. And I might be light on the percentage
  3. And Millar is damn funny. Barker has the personality of stale cheese.
  4. Jokes aside, Lansing really does have a nice mix of college bats... Large, Clemens, Noda, Smith, to go along with the younger guys like Samad Taylor, Vicuna, Pruitt and Chavez Young. Pitching is pretty nicely split too with Spraker and Sellers vs Diaz, Logue and Castillo.
  5. No effort at all. D minus
  6. Players of the day: Graham Spraker, Chavez Young, Cullen Large, Joshua Palacios, Rodrigo Orozco, Honourable mentions: Ryan Noda, Kacy Clemens, Richard Urena, Nash Knight, Logan Warmoth, DJ Davis

    St Louis actually.
  8. It's probably best that he remains injured then rather than dumping into negative value territory again. It's weird, but him being injured is probably helping the team
  9. Make BJMB great again!

  11. You take that back, my wooden chair has feelings you know.
  12. Players of the Day: Vlad Jr, Lansing, Bradley Jones, Patrick Cantwell, Reese McGuire, Anthony Alford, Honourable mentions: Alberto Mineo, DJ Davis, Bo Bichette, Dalton Pompey, Tim Lopes
  13. These games shouldn't even be close...
  14. When he came in we were winning
  15. Cuz when we took the lead it appeared as though Rodriguez would be lifted and you want a better defender out there than Pearce, who would likely have been facing a RHP if he git up again
  16. That's what my DK lineup what's to know, I was in the money until that s*** happened.
  17. Can't be. He's a 40 hit tool
  18. Sitting 189th in the freebie today on DK with 34 innings left. I stacked the Jays/Sox game with Solarte, Benintendi, Betts, Holt, Pearce, Teoscar and Diaz. Kershaw and Matz pitching. Top 265 get paid. Really hoping for a bomb from one of the Jays here since Kershaw stunk it up
  19. Ditto, 6'6' also and if i was 160 chances are I'd be able to dodge the rain
  20. wasnt John Macdonald traded like that? He was traded for a PTBNL and that guy ended up being him ?
  21. Pearson has been dealing with an oblique strain and may see game action in early May, John Lott of The Athletic Toronto reports. Analysis:Pearson was reportedly dealing with a minor back issue, but Lott reports the young pitcher started the season with the oblique strain. The 21-year-old has been throwing bullpen sessions and could be nearing his season debut for High-A Dunedin.
  22. my pitchers sunk me, offensively I picked well
  23. his 7 years of awful minor league numbers already suggest otherwise.
  24. Walks are concerning(10 in 22.2 innings), but yeah, nobody can touch him right now
  25. Players of the Day: Cavan Biggio, Bo Bichette, Angel Perdomo, Kevin Smith, Honourable mentions: Conor Panas, Patrick Cantwell, Danny Espinosa, Samad Taylor, Cullen Large, Kacy Clemens, Yennsy Diaz
