  1. It will be great, especially if Buffalo ever gets to play any actual games this year.
  2. There is always AJ Preller.
  3. Everyone wants Morales traded, doesn't mean Shatkins can actually pull it off. Not many teams out there that want to take on a DH at his salary when he's clearly no longer an effective hitter, and will cost your team more wins than he contributes to.
  4. All of what you said can be true... however for every player you mentioned or any guy that comes out of nowhere from the minors and suddenly dominates after having that random breakthrough after having pedestrian minor league numbers, there are 1000 guys with the same pedestrian minor league numbers that don't break through. Simply pointing out that 1% (or less) of them have different outcomes doesn't mean that a player's minor league numbers aren't predictive, because for the overwhelmingly vast majority of players, they absolutely are.
  5. Technically he is still day to day, he just didn't take any days yet.
  6. You would also have to factor in the guys that are on the high side of the average regressing down, in addition to the guys on the low side of the average regressing upwards.
  7. If we are talking highest floor.... Pillar Highest present value.....Pillar due to that floor Highest ceiling.... I could probably be swayed for arguments for either Grichuk or Hernandez
  8. With Freeman's injury last night, that path to 1b/3b might be a bit shorter. Right now they are saying the injury isn't serious and it's not a re-break, but it was on the exact same same bone as last year's break from a Loup pitch.
  9. Players of the Day: Kacy Clemens, Nash Knight, Riley Adams, Vlad Jr Honourable Mentions: Bradley Jones, Jonathan Davis, Patrick Cantwell, Francisco Rios
  10. FFS.... wasn't his injury last year also from a HBP?
  11. yay, gibby won the a challenge for like the first time in 5 years...
  12. no way that was a catch, overturn incoming.
  13. lol pillar, only he can swing at pitches that are half an inch from hitting him
  14. I'm not familiar with that person
  15. If i was Kennedy I wouldn't be throwing strikes either, his last 2 strikes traveled a combined 900 feet or so
  16. "Anything travels that far oughta have a stewardess on it" Crash Davis
  17. i was trying to find that exact clip of the song for a embedded GIF but i was on my phone and it seemed like way too much effort for the very slight comedic impact.
  18. That means you do care.... at least a little
  19. Because someone in MLB thinks they need to get the average age demographic of baseball viewership from 55 down to .... 50
  20. I know what people find entertaining is pretty subjective... but Barker is only entertaining to me in the "should be at the ticket gate of a circus" type of thing.
  21. Every date in high school I ever had.... Thanks for opening up old wounds.
  22. PLayers of the Day: TJ Zeuch, Samad Taylor, Cullen Large, Nash Knight Honorable Mention: Cavan Biggio, Juan Kelly, Andrew Guillotte, Lourdes Gurriel Jr
  23. Stick a fork in the Royals, when you're giving up rockets to Pillar, you're done.
