  2. I got Friday. I was supposed to start the Baltimore series until King usurped me
  3. Here's a good recent-ish article on the changeup https://elitebaseballperformance.com/modern-changeup-best-new-pitch-baseball/
  4. Wish he'd mix that curve in a bit more
  5. Exactly. 10.
  6. All correct, however the single biggest factor of a changeup being effective is velocity difference from the fastball. The best changeups are usually 10 mph slower than a pitchers fastball. This is the case with Marco. So while it doesn't matter how hard the fastball is... it matters how much slower the changeup is. The more separation, the better
  7. Yep. Him missing all of 2016 while defecting really hampered him last year
  8. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Players of the Day:Kevin Smith, Lourdes Gurriel Jr, Bo Bichette, Tim Lopes Honourable mention to Brock Lundquist
  9. Victor Robles f***ed up his elbow ... hope it's not serious https://www.milb.com/milb/news/washington-nationals-victor-robles-has-hyperextended-elbow/c-271714336?tcid=tw_article_271714336
  10. True to a point and I'm certainly no economist, it just seems to me that the poverty class in capitalist economies are much larger than they should be
  11. If only this superfast and booming economy actually benefitted anyone other than the rich. Household debt is still enormous and 15% of people live under the poverty line. That's not exactly good.
  12. As much as I love lists of arbitrary cutoffs, Colome wasn't even a closer in 2015 and gathered 85 saves in 2 seasons, Britton was hurt nearly all of 2017, and Robertson wasn't a full time closer either. Allen is the only real comparable. Oh.. and saves are stupid.
  13. It will be like having anything else in Winnipeg. Cold and depressing.
  14. He's always had it, but could never command it with any semblance of success. So far this season it's much more consistent
  15. Todd is very consistent
  16. You'll see a few unintelligent doorknobs (no offense) that overreact to everything and blame management for everything under the sun including their indigestion, but for the most part it's universal love for Shapiro and Atkins
  17. BTS as a mod.... Hmmm, is this the 4th or 5th sign of the apocalypse?
  18. might be a problem with my IMGUR, ill check it out later
  19. He's also has 5 extra base hits out of 6 hits overall. Singles are for chumps.
  20. Mid to late June would be the absolute earliest, and even then there would have to be roster room opened for both of them. Morales would be 1 obvious punt, but the MIF situation is more complicated.
  21. His biggest problem is swinging at stuff he shouldn't be. That's always been his problem and continues to be. He suffers from great hand eye coordination coupled with poor decision making, which leads to a lot of weak contact
  22. He has 1. But still.... 4th in the league in OPS as a 19 year old.
  23. Not bad for an 11th round college draftee from last year. He's a nobody, but that's still a hell of a performance.
  24. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Players of the Day: Danny Jansen, Vlad Guerrero Jr, Bo Bichette, Kevin Smith and whoever the f*** Donnie Sellers is. Honorable Mention to Jonathan Davis
  25. Pretty much is unless he jumps 2 levels right away. 23 in Lansing is just not relevant
