  1. Do it..... you know you want to......
  2. For sure, the results have not been there for Grichuk, I don't think anyone can argue against that specific point. His other numbers through are indicative that results could come in a hurry.
  3. Great plays are memorable, but they don't tell 90% of the story of defense either. The eye test is notoriously fallible and runs rampant with perception, historical and recency biases.
  4. Yup. We're already at our max quota for Mexicans and Dominicans.
  5. Lineups will be added once they are available.
  6. Yeah, doesn't make sense to call him up unless he's going to start.
  7. I just hope to see Lourdes playing every day. Him being utilized as Gift was isn't ideal. Having Travis, Solarte, Diaz and LGJr is a bit of an IF logjam.
  8. Yennsy Diaz has only allowed 4 hits in 17.1 innings.
  9. I doubt there's going to be much movement from the lower levels until closer to the all star breaks unless there's a truly exceptional case. If he's still embarassing the league after 100 PAs... maybe there's a move to be made. It's not like there's anyone in Dunedin at 1b they need to worry about really.
  10. sound advice in many situations.
  11. I don't think there would be an axe, and LGjr would go down, I just think he meant he wants LGjr to play so well that they Jays really don't want to, but have to anyways. Really the only axeworthy guy on the roster is Morales... but I don't think they're ready to bite that bullet yet. I know Grichuk has struggled, but there's clearly upside there if they can figure out the right way to tap into it, plus he actually has defensive and baserunning value.
  12. Players of the Day: Yennsy Diaz, Kevin Vicuna (3 errors though... ), Vlad Jr, Lourdes Gurriel Jr Honourable Mentions: Max Pentecost, Eduard Pinto Happy 4/20 bitches.
  13. It will be great, especially if Buffalo ever gets to play any actual games this year.
  14. There is always AJ Preller.
  15. Everyone wants Morales traded, doesn't mean Shatkins can actually pull it off. Not many teams out there that want to take on a DH at his salary when he's clearly no longer an effective hitter, and will cost your team more wins than he contributes to.
  16. All of what you said can be true... however for every player you mentioned or any guy that comes out of nowhere from the minors and suddenly dominates after having that random breakthrough after having pedestrian minor league numbers, there are 1000 guys with the same pedestrian minor league numbers that don't break through. Simply pointing out that 1% (or less) of them have different outcomes doesn't mean that a player's minor league numbers aren't predictive, because for the overwhelmingly vast majority of players, they absolutely are.
  17. Technically he is still day to day, he just didn't take any days yet.
  18. You would also have to factor in the guys that are on the high side of the average regressing down, in addition to the guys on the low side of the average regressing upwards.
  19. If we are talking highest floor.... Pillar Highest present value.....Pillar due to that floor Highest ceiling.... I could probably be swayed for arguments for either Grichuk or Hernandez
  20. With Freeman's injury last night, that path to 1b/3b might be a bit shorter. Right now they are saying the injury isn't serious and it's not a re-break, but it was on the exact same same bone as last year's break from a Loup pitch.
  21. Players of the Day: Kacy Clemens, Nash Knight, Riley Adams, Vlad Jr Honourable Mentions: Bradley Jones, Jonathan Davis, Patrick Cantwell, Francisco Rios
  22. FFS.... wasn't his injury last year also from a HBP?
  23. yay, gibby won the a challenge for like the first time in 5 years...
  24. no way that was a catch, overturn incoming.
