    I dunno, if Varsho plays at a 4-5 fWAR pace for the next 4 seasons, I would consider it a win. The population of 4-5 WAR catchers in the majors is pretty low, and I dont think Moreno is turning into Adley Rutschman or anything.

    Coming of a bunch of hammy injuries too, he's likely not as fast as he used to be, which was pretty close to top precentile in 2022.

    Early numbers on the shift ban Left-handed hitters, the hitters most impacted by the shift, have a .246/.328/.421 batting line with a .290 BABIP entering play Wednesday. They had a .229/.323/.362 line with a .274 BABIP the first six days of last season. It's early, but lefties are once again outperforming righties. The opposite was true the last few years still a relatively small sample size overall and there's more factors involved than JUST the shift, but ... all signs point to progress

    It was a carbon copy of most of his bunt hits from last season. Drag bunt, got it past the pitcher towards the 2b and just outran it. 2b got it in his glove and tried to flip it straight from the glove but had no chance

    Yeah, Kirk hasnt looked good anywhere on the field yet. I'll give him some rope given his shortened spring training, but I'm not overly impressed with his lack of attention to his fitness. Looks like he did less than nothing in the offseason to improve in that area.

    Yeah, all three of them looked like they had no clue on timing at all. Singer is one of those really good extension pitchers, and his delivery is pretty definitely deceptive.
