  1. Is it time where there is real hope that he's turned a corner??
  2. Rays pitcher Springs expected to need TJ Surgery, out until early 2024.
  3. Hunter Greene locked in by the Reds, 6 years 53 million.
  4. Good night for the ump. Not surprising as i think Hoberg is pretty much known as the best balls/strikes ump in the game right now.
  5. Love that your supporting post for pregnant women calls them "chicks" LOL.
  6. Rodon experiences back discomfort during his forearm strain recovery
  7. April 18 Vladdy - 1 Point Bichette - 1 Point Chapman - 1 Point Varsho - 2 Points Springer - 2 Points Belt - 3 Points JohnHavok Kirk - 3 Points Merrifield - 5 Points - JaysAllMighty Espinal - 6 Points - wilko Off the bench: 10 Points - jaysblue
  8. He wasn't, there was a real story written in the Star about this incident. Bass was in uniform with the Jays at the time.
  9. I'm with you on these changes, pretty dumb. We could just go with a designated offsense, then a designated defense. 9 guys on the field playing defense, but a totally different 9 guys in the batting order, each with their own pinch runner available to run the bases for them if they don't hit a HR. All 40 guys on the 40 man roster would then be required to be in uniform for every game.
  10. No doubt. That's certainly one experimental rule I hope dies on the table. I dont think losing the DH should be a thing either if your pitcher just sucks, you're already at a disadvantage enough for him being garbage. If the rule design is meant to limit openers, there's gotta be 100 better ways to do that. As for the single disengagement.... sure experiment with it, but i doubt it chagnes much. The vast majority of guys at 1b still dont even get 1 throw over
  11. Gausman gonna have to wear this one for a bit it looks like

Flames will be looking for a new GM, Treliving's contract is not being renewed. Don Maloney promoted to President of Hockey Ops and will be the interim GM.
  14. Yeah, his stuff and location metircs are largely the same as last year. still an amazing changeup and curve, though the slider so far has taken a step back. Stuff+ last season was 101, this season so far its 85, and he's been throwing it more often in 2023.. 29% vs 22% of the time. Still, very reactionary from the Giants
  15. How would Bass be on a flight in the US with his wife and kids on Sunday, when he was in uniform in Toronto? It was posted at 10am on Sunday the 16th. The story writer probably wouldnt have thought about that and just assumed they were all travelling together.
  16. I would buy this argument, except he sucked from the first pitch of the game, and then reigned it in later on, deeper in the game when the fatness/conditioning would in theory be making it worse. Warm up pitches wouldnt be a factor since you get the same # of warmup pitches before every inning. I don't know the answer, but I don't think the above is it either. 1st inning he was losing nearly every pitch up and arm side early on, that strikes me as being mechanic related.
  17. Seems to be he is asserting that Manoah’s stuff is just worse across the board…but offering no explanation. But doesn’t think it’s a failure to execute. Not much of an analysis. The “why” this what is needed to be fixed, anyone with functional eyes can see the stuff is not as good.
  18. Nah, nothing in his current output suggests there’s an arm or elbow issue to me. He has just lost release point consistency. He could definitely go on the IL with “arm fatigue” or some other phantom ******** to try and get straight
  19. Sem Robberse also off to a great start in AA 16K over his first 2 starts…9.2 IP.
  20. Still a series win, so no big deal. Just keep winning series and we’ll be right there for the division lead at the end
  21. Yep, ump said to clean the rosin off before he came out next inning, he didn’t. That’s basically the entire issue. Baldelli wanted to know why there was no repercussions for not doing what he was told to do. I see his point.
