  1. Look at that…2 runs scored and not a single runner in scoring position.
  2. Springer dinger! And nobody rejoices….
  3. I’m out, gonna go back down to the Canada college World Series for a bit
  4. Sure, but those are already good hitters. They don’t hit any better with RISP (generally) than they do without except for the average gain seen by nearly every hitter. Even the average mlb hitter hits better with RISP than they do without. Hitting with RISP is also a massive series of tiny sample sizes with huge variances on the outcomes based on a shitload of variables.
  5. You’re free to believe it, whether it’s true or not.
  6. Gotta wonder what Lukes thinks the Jays really think of him when he still can’t get a start with all these guys hitting like trash.
  7. Hardly. What I can tell you though is I’d rather them struggle with RISP that struggle to get runners there to begin with. Only getting 3-5 runners eben in scoring position a game is a far bigger problem to solve.
  8. Good job by Jansen getting to 2nd though, about the only slightly positive on that play
  9. Heh, the way things are going …yeah probably. Well 2nd and 3rd with one out and the Orioles conceding a run if it’s on the ground, which of course means a ground ball to the pitcher and the runner not scoring.
  10. Individual and (cumulative) w/l record against the AL East teams by the jays
  11. Lololol, you just can’t make this s*** up. Line drive straight in the glove
  12. Wow, this ump truly does just give strikes to the pitcher in hitters counts. Anything close with the batter at 2-0 or 3-0 is automatic strike
  13. This ump loves making the strike zone 6 inches wider and 2 or 3 higher when there’s a 3 ball count
  14. Well yeah they’re gonna look at it longer to be sure, but it was an easy call. It was also the first one this season, so it’s not like we’re gonna see 3 of them a week or anything.
  15. These Jays are really hard to watch, not gonna lie. Everyone except KK, and Bichette …maybe Belt….seem to have their heads up their ass on a daily basis.
  16. Meh, that’s fine. They’ll be quick. Took 1 angle and 10 seconds to see that was a HR and not a double.
  17. I suppose yeah. But him getting slightly better results with the same garbage pitches really isn’t what you’d look at as a small thing improving. There needs to be improvement in his actual pitches, which isn’t there at all yet. Sure he throws a good one here and there, all pitchers do. Consistently getting back to 95-96 with his 4 seamer and being able to locate the strike zone without a map, compass and sextant would be a good start
  18. Don’t kid yourself, there’s still clearly something wrong with his mechanics, arm health or both. All of his pitches are objectively worse than the last 2 seasons.
  19. Bad decisions in the OF are not what we need…wtf is this team right now? Line drives all finding gloves….outfielders taking risks they shouldn’t take…nobody ready to hit meatballs. This is looking systemic rather than just a bad week. Not the line drives part that’s just horseshit luck
  20. Regression is just numbers evening out over time, it doesn’t mean a loss of skills. His skills being obviously worse is retrogression. What we are seeing is retrogression, not regression ….which is the problem
  21. Manoah bailed out by the ump on balls 4 and 5…. Wow
