  1. No doubt. And yeah, it's taken a while. I'm betting it still really hasnt sank in for him yet though. It's never a short process. His brain would ismply just revert to last years success and just convince himself he just needs to stay the course and it will correct. Sending him down might be the trigger he needs.
  2. His confidence probably needs to implode before he can rebuild it. Guys like him with fiery personalities usually need to be slapped in the face with failure and hit rock bottom before they realize they need to change.
  3. At the risk of cursing Richards, he's been money today.
  4. The vlad special, watch the 2-0 92mph cookie go by, then swing at the outsdie cutter and roll it over.
  5. And Bo, and Biggio and the 3 other guys im forgetting already.
  6. Its all good, mistakes dont actually bite the Rays. 3 straight bobbled ground balls, only 1 guy on base.
  7. Again.... just no luck. Both grounders bobbled by the 1b... just not enough to get on base. This is comedy
  8. Gurriel was terrible in the OF. Legit awful. Good arm, terrible jumps, terrible routes. Bullpen is decidedly better in all aspects than last season, theyre just getting run into the ground from pitching way too much. Manoah's spin rates are actually about the same or higher than last year. Sticky stuff is not a question
  9. team swinging at everyone nowhere near the zone isnt helping either.
  10. Tampa is the luckiest team on earth too... IF is in and he hits hit so s*****...it's just weak enough to have no play at the plate. Someone in Tampa sold their soul.
  11. Manoah has to go down. They have to pull the plug at this point. They just cannot keep him up when he's pitching like this.
  12. Probably not, but they have enough pen arms to shuttle back and forth they could piece together a pen day or two. LIke, if they weren't in the middle of this god awaful schedule where they only have 1 day off in like 35 days they could start skipping his spot or somthing. Manoah also needs to get to the point where he snaps into realization that what he is currently doing isnt working and needs to do something different. I dont think he's gotten there yet. Quite honestly, I think they should make him throw nothing but sinkers for an entire inning and just see how it goes. That's the one pitch he seems to be able to put in the strike zone somewhat regularly. Go back to minor league style pitch selection
  13. Like the 4th line drive that's found a glove ... this extended stretch or horrible batted ball luck is just weird.
  14. How much longer than they really afford to have him taking the hill every 5th day?
  15. True, but he still looks really bad. The complete lack of command is killing him every game.
  16. Yeah, this isn't numbers regressing, this is a full on problem with his skill being far worse than it was.
  17. Watching Manoah right now is painful. You can just see there's something wrong
  18. It is refershing to see hitters with good approaches though. They know he's struggling with location and missing bats so theyre just gonna take until 2 strikes and wait until he throws them something they won't miss....
  19. Manoah has something seriously wrong with his mechanics, how can they not find the problem?? Manoah right now on the mound looks like Kikuchi did all of last season, with that look of complete non-confidence on his face.
  20. Would have been funnier if Raley went and got the HR ball Vlad hit off him, signed it, and gave it to Vlad saying "You got me."
  21. Yeah, this is the kind of stuff Manoah doesnt need, these runs were very preventable.
