  1. Well the dude here that posts with what he claims as knowledge from somewhere in the jays org say the Jays believe their offer is higher than that Dodgers. Obviously they cannot be sure of that. I think the number he had posted was 12/570. If it needed to go to 12/600, sure do it. I dont think it will come down to the money though. No matter where he signs he and the next 10 generations of his family (assuming no zombies...)are set for life. I think he makes the decision based on where he feels he will be most comfortable in a baseball and family sense. If he thinks being in LA is better, he'll stay there. If he truly loves the idea of moving to TO and then having access to the baseball facilities in Dunedin, being a hero to 2 countries rather than 1, and essentially becoming the face of Roger's Communications... he'll pick Toronto.
  2. Both you shut the f*** up about petty ********, talk baseball or chicken sandwiches or f*** off. Cool?
  3. I'd rather imagine Shohei and Yamamoto on the roster honestly. I think Lee will be good, but not upper tier star great. The fact that Yamamoto asked for a meeting with Toronto is very encouraging.
  4. optics played a role for sure in how fans perceive players. If Vlad, Bo and Springer were all having great seasons instead of just Bo, Varsho and CHappy's failings with the bat and their place in the order would definitely not have been as big of a deal. Could put Belt in that category do for the first 6 weeks of the season. Dude was probably a week away from being DFA when he woke up
  5. Manoah Vlad and Tiedeman for 1 year of Soto is laughable. even if the plus coming back was the same guy the Yankees got, they'd be morons to do that deal.
  6. King - finally moved out of his parents place, probably doesnt have internet. Abom - i assume an arrest of some sort Boxcar - married, probably kids. still pops in once in a while to rage about something. I never left. the genius kid in fantasy leagues might have been one of the guys who went on to work for the Jays in their nerd department so wouldnt be allowed to frequent a message board anymore
  7. Wrc+ by month for CHappy…. 216, 63, 75, 154, 49, 75. 1st half 123, 2nd half 88. Full year 110. 28.4% k rate, 10.7% walk rate. Wrc+ by month for Moncada.. 140, 77, 4, 20, 106, 145. 1st half 76, 2nd half 114. Full year 98. 30% K rate, 5.6% walk I probably don’t need to tell you who is better defensively. Tell us again how Moncada was superior to Chapman last season even abandoning the hyperbole
  8. Nah, I believe you’ll fully recover the moment the Jays pick up Michael A Taylor instead. He’s a stud
  9. Nah, just hate seeing obvious ******** meant to generate clicks.
  10. The first part of your statement is all that’s needed. Yeah, Preller should wait, but in his defense there may be a ticking clock from the Yankees on the offer. He either accepts it by X time, or it’s off the table. If he thinks it’s better than what he’s heard from the Jays, all the pressure is on him to take it now or take what he deems as a lesser package later.
  11. Well, she’s willing to date you as long as the captain of the team isn’t available AND you have a giant………wallet
  12. Ah yes forgot about Pete. With a good year he could be a 30 million guy, probably not for 10 years though given his position. He would be just turning 29 so he could do reasonably well.
  13. Assuming no extensions, biggest names right now aside from Soto are Verdugo, Santander, Haniger and Conforto. Small chance of Ozuna but he has a club option at 16 million that’s likely a guaranteed pickup. Tyler O’Neill…Heyward. Next years OF FAs are weak once you get past Soto IF is a different story. Bregman, Altuve, Goldy
  14. Did Verducci actually speak to Ohtani and confirm that the RC "reminds him so much of...." I doubt that immensely.
  15. Holy s*** thats pretty low. There must be some incentives in there. Either that or his market was next to nothing
  16. In that scenario they'd likely be trying to trade Bassitt with only 1 year left.
  17. Herp derp BUT HEZ NOT PAT GILLICK!!!
  18. Virtually anything you can cook in a non-stick pan is better in cast iron imo. As for upkeep, wash it thoroughly and dry after every use. Make sure it's dryer than a popcorn fart before you put it away. Seasoning it once a month is likely often enough. 1 layer of seasoning takes , pour in some canola or vegetable oil, spread it all around inside and out, turn the pan upside down and put it in the oven for an hour at 350, then let it cool before taking it out. 1 layer of seasoning done. Repeat if you want more than one layer of seasoning. DO more often if you sear with high heat regularly.
  19. If you still have the thought capacity to do this before you pass out, drink a few glasses of water. Sure, you might wake up with a raging need to piss, but I find it helps
  20. More like, it depends on the type of saturated fat. All saturated fats are not the same. The smaller carbon chain ones like myristic acid, palmitic acid seem to have a much higher impact on serum cholesterol than larger ones like Stearic acid. Also depends on what your combining them with in your diet. Lots of processed garbage carbs and stuff = worse. Generally whole food unprocessed type of diet = better. Much of people's high cholesterol problems is also found to be heavily related to being genetically pre-disposed, much like hypertension. A bad diet makes it demonstrably worse though As with many things, nuance and details are key to proper understanding. The above is a very high level overview
  21. Disagree. Hungover counter pizza is one of the joys of life
  22. Especially a good cast iron pan. Nothing cooks better
  23. New food topic as we wait for the Ohtani decision... Saturated fats... good or evil?
