  1. I think that we should delay this decision until after the draft and see what kind of traffic we get then. I think discussing draft prospects, scouting reports, and mocks would be very frustrating and difficult to keep track of on the main forum. Basically, this is a terrible time to make this poll. There is nothing to talk about yet, of course it's dead.
  2. So did cooler heads. I guess the lesson here is don't copy annoying trolls
  3. Hate to do it but... You just called him 'Roger Clemons' multiple times bro.
  4. I remember being a little kid and wondering why Henke didn't throw the forkball ever pitch, it was just ridiculous. Santos' slider is good, but might not even be the best pitch in our bullpen. For starters, I've only seen a bit of footage, but Stieb's name always comes up when discussing the best sliders of all-time, pretty high praise.
  5. For those without paypal, try an email money transfer. If admin gets mine, it was pretty easy and you don't have to sign up for anything or have a credit card.
  6. Our D has been atrocious today, at least 3 Yankee hits should have been outs.
  7. Edwin and 3 runs scored off of homers for tomorrow.
  8. Zaun: "Rasmus will see tons of fastballs in the 2 hole" I don't think he saw a single one! Lol
  9. Dickey is going to have a good game, you can already tell he brought his good stuff. He just has to command it.

I don't know if he'll ever reach the same level, but Ross reminds me a lot of Kawhi Leonard as a rookie. I think he can improve his defense (not a criticism) and he'll need to create more opportunities on the dribble if he wants to reach the next level.
  11. You'll make it to university in a few years, young grasshopper. Don't hate.
  12. One of the most veteran posters on the blue jays forum, put in at least 10 years. He'll be missed.
  13. Does that mean you would think Rasmus was a bad fielder if you didn't have statistics to reference? I've always been pleased with his routes and actions. I think he's above average, but not great.
  14. Defensive positioning comes into play on every at-bat, I'm not talking about shifts or anything. I'll agree that it's the most accurate statistic we have, but you're much too quick to write off observation, as it is still the best tool we have to evaluate defense (from a competent eye with multiple looks). I don't agree with his evaluation, but I'd suggest looking at things with a critical eye and not taking it for granted that these stats are accurate. Most of the time they are not, you have to pick and choose your spots and use multiple methods.
  15. You'll often see wild swings in UZR with no discernable difference in fielding performance from year to year, that's one thing. Teams with strong defesive positioning an artificially inflate UZR for players, and vise versa. The statistic takes an extremely long time to normalize and often by the time you get an accurate representation, the player has often lost a step or changed positions. Those are a few of the many problems to take into account. It's not useless, but it is flawed and stated far, far too often as something that is always reliable and accurate, when it certainly isn't. I can't wait for field f/x to be incorporated, then we'll get something truly useful.
  16. Hopefully we can get to Thornton, his peripherals fell off a cliff last year.
  17. Melky looks so comfortable up there, despite the groundout. I think we're in line for one of those .300+ average seasons.
