  1. No. Thank you though. Money leagues or bust. Although I could only get in Yahoo $100 league. High stakes everywhere is gone, but I know where to find it next year.
  2. Don’t worry, folks. I have only retired from bjmb fantasy. The golden era is kinda gone, now they’re basically mixed leagues, and with Jim and BTS hard turn left, it was time. I’m going to seek new challenges in money leagues. I do feel it’s appropriate to kind of give a retiring HOF speech. Since it’d be better in 3rd person, I’m employed a ghost writer Tom Finn, to pen the following: Tom Finn wrote the following, not me. “All great things come to an end. To truly understand Connorps impact on the leagues, one must go back 20+ years to a time when mlb had team message boards. They were mostly wastelands like the current bjmb with a GDT and a couple of random threads. Not much engagement and that’s why the boards went to way of the dodo. But fortunately for the Jays board, one day along came a young charismatic poster that would challenge the conventional wisdoms and change the mudane. Soon 100 page threads became a thing and animated battles led to increased engagement for all. So one could liken Connor’s impact to the bjmb like something Bane Ruth did for baseball. Soon the established community would create fantasy leagues. Being the villain, Connorp was originally excluded from the first group of friends that made a league. But he was able to land in the second go around of knowledgeable fans. His redraft dominance was immediately apparently. Which he parlayed into the bbdl dynasty league. At the height of this fever, the 30 team LOD was formed, with all the best people. It would only be a couple years before Connorp would capture his title here as well. Like Michael Jordan upon his first retirement, the success had left Connorp unchallenged and he relinquished 2/3 of his 3 Dyansty leagues and toiled in the one he kept. But soon the chatter would turn against his accomplishments, sort of like Barry Bonds. Asterisks were made on trophies and it was said Connorp could not rebuild. Up for this challenge, Connorp returned and did just that over a few years with his dynasty squads, and built teams that have the pieces for long run successes and title runs. Alas, like when the WWF star faded a bit and the WCW or whatever alternative there was to that, became intriguing, it was time to move on. BTS has said it best: Godspeed ConnorP”
  3. Bro, I’ll tell you when I’m being unfair and I’ll say “everyone” was an exaggeration but if you don’t the think the majority of this board were saying NYY wasn’t a division champ type threat this year (or even better than the Jays) you need to go to your dispensary and tell them to take that funny stuff down a few levels
  4. NYY just has an unquantifiable advantage going for them. It doesn’t work as an absolute, like “Yankee Magic” and it’s not going to something you can just always count on. But something with bringing out the best in players sometimes. Being in the spotlight, soaking in the history, etc. It begs the question, could Vlad’s career taken a different path. Having aggressive NY dudes yelling some unflattering thing and seeing Vladdy the Bum, on the back cover of the Post. Would he crumble like or cookie, or work harder?
  5. I think if you had to put a comp on my meaningfulness to this board, I think you’d have to think past Mike Trouts, and focus more on figures like Jesus
  6. Moved quick enough for Wamco to get banned
  7. Long season. With 3 WC, it takes a lot to not be in it. But I’ll bet there’s regressing to the mean in different directions at different times and they stay not too far from .500 for quite a bit. We’ll see
  8. Man, for all the off season smack talk everyone did, especially against the Yankees, hasn’t been a good first 15. Last place. Yanks doing just fine
  9. Fantrax is preseason still. Curious here if using the R word would get me banned, and if it would be worth it to get out some popcorn out and watch L54 and BTS get a few more rounds in. I’ll resist the temptation though.
  10. That was the troll I was making, yes.
  11. The much better Fantrax had Story a little behind at 316. Hell drop like a dead fly now. Detmers will skyrocket from #369 soon. Still sick I let him go in BORED, I would’ve obviously found a way to get him back on my roster at this point, shuffling between the 2 rosters. Wasn’t thinking it was goodbye moving him
  12. CC for sure. Story is honesty ww material at this point. CC no
  13. Jays suck. Watch bb for your fantasy leagues
  14. Dang it, I would’ve made my grand re-entrance in that proposed ban thread. Laila prob was looking at my time left in the box winding down and closed it.
  15. Renton may be challenging for the worst contact in mlb history. I can’t remember if Davis or anyone was worse.
  16. Man. I’ve always been a Vlad is going to break back out guy, but it’s starting to look foolish. Obviously he’s not this bad though. If he’s meh all year and then busts out big next year in FA year, he’s a f***ing cuck
  17. lol. I meant the thought I had a problem or something. That and gambling.
  18. Royce went to DL. Best of what was there
  19. Yeah, the big part of left out was the blow involved lol. Wasn’t an addict or anything, doing in non party spots, but my party drug of choice. It was taken another way though. If I was married, after a few years, I’d be a cheater. Nothing I’m proud about. But not something like my other bad sociopathic traits. Normal people can be like that. I’m not addicted to sex, but the newness and hunt. I get bored with partners easily. Doesn’t matter how good they are. I’m not monogamous but I like kids. So it’s a conflict
  20. I’ll just go ahead and put all my chips on Urshela now and say .750 OPs at min with solid D. Let’s see where shitbag IKF lands
  21. s*** from a fantasy perspective sure. 3b with a .750 OPS, not great counting stats. It’s not a hole in the lineup though.
  22. Yeah I won’t too much detail but my dad was the worker type but brothers did very well. My first cousin that I’ll leave unnamed is actually one of the more powerful politicians in the US. A legit potential VP pick this cycle. My summer job my sophomore and junior year in hs was their nanny/babysitter. So that’s my surreal part to add to the story. After that massive family breakup thoug that involved lawyers and courts for a year, haven’t talked to anyone
  23. If the real estate thing is a shot across the bow, I probably know the workings around the REmarket better than you, or do at least. Was supposed to be my career. Had a worker dad and super rich real estate developing uncle. Levered my father to get into the business and had a nice house free and clear by 22. Last years of college even was picking out land lots, going on the blueprint websites to pick out houses I wanted to build, purchased all interior finishes. Had backing from old mafia type retired GE guy, and family friend super rich Jewish ENT surgeon. Graduated to multi-unit and subdivision projects.. all before 25. With a wife most guys would die for and new baby. And I f***ed it all up lol. Just wanted to flash off money, be a big shot, little cocky. 1 night at my stomping ground Mardi Gras strip club in Springfield, MA, dropped like $15k in VIP and word got back to my family and everything from there just collapsed like the Bluejays franchise fast and swift. That core regret and desire to reset time will always by my demon. Luckily as my kid got older and needed my as a FT single dad, I was able to kind of put myself together. So to pay for all these private schools, I kind of had to stop playing the small violin.
  24. It should be noted, Jays made a decisive (and heavily criticized move by even their peers) to lock up IKF. That was their target, that was their direction
  25. I think Gio goes to Toronto though. Don’t know it of course, but Detroit is Detroit. Toronto was probably the best opportunity for him if they said they saw him as a starter.
