    Yeah I agree to that. Jays tried to extend him during season and I’m sure it was prob 4-5 years.

    Cost-of-living matters a lot too though. Home costs/real estate taxes, etc. Texas is definitely a state your dollar goes further but I’m sure it wasn’t literally a count every penny thing

    I was asking same thing. in googling, and I think someone else said, mostly been pitch selection changes. I just remember his issue was always the long ball, so all the AL East parks..don’t dislike the signing but preferred Ray. Maybe we’ll get both

    Ryan Howard is black, so that’s decent logic there. Ortiz had some steroid rumors, as well as domestic violence rumors (and defending the likes of Jose Reyes), on top of banging a drug dealers wife and getting shot… all of which clearly means he doesn’t deserve to be in the HOF
