    Just because you say things doesn’t make them true. You may hate AVG but if you hit 39hr, but only hit .240 with an OPS+ of 120, it’s going to affect your market. Especially when you hit .195 during Covid year 1 year prior. Oh and you weren’t #1 prospect in baseball and considered generational, with an MVP type year under your belt at 22yo.     Jays are literally on every player in baseball it seems. So I’m sure they talked to him like everyone else, but there was never any hot stove news linking him to Jays like other players have been. It’s a story only bc he used to play here..

    On the flip side, when a team is performing this badly, I guess it doesn’t hurt to try to take solace in the “bring the lunch pail to work” players on your team to keep the spirits up.

    IKF, this season so far even, clears wavers all day, everyday. I’d bet a months salary on it.

    I don’t really get the “just need to get in philosophy” with this years team. Like there’s no real surprise a guy like last night can neutralize the offense. Possibly battling with a handful of other bad teams for that W3 would likely just mean we limp along again next year
