  1. I really wonder how you even handle JD this year. If they’re a playoff team, you’d want him for the post-season obviously, so not sure what the heck you would do regular season.
  2. As a fan of those teams I wouldnt want to see those guys pitch lol Though I don’t know how they use their SPs
  3. Man that 40% K rate in 50 ABs really let Green slip. I didn’t think he’d be there at 17. Where did he go LOD?
  4. Spanky the most reported and also perhaps the most celebrated
  5. Fantrax, who I can respect very much, has him #1. I don’t agree but I guess he’s in the conversation for many

Yeah I guess they really like Poeltl fro his time there but nothing impressive about that trade. Mo Bamba is pretty similar and went for a single 2nd round pick and a player that was waived and so didn’t even count
  7. There’s 40lb+ in that belly 100%
  8. It’s amazing how much weight can come from the belly. If I let myself go, I’m like the ex jock but with the lower belly poking out of their polo shirt. Flattening out my belly is a matter of 30lb at least in that case
  9. Damn I wish I was sent a similar offer for GH
  10. I’d say something about time flying but I’d be outing myself as an old-timer
  11. Send me your email and I will show you the kind of stuff we’re talking about here
  12. And sometimes players give teams a discount to stay there. Jim’s a dumbass
  13. That’s a broad brush. There’s times when a player doesn’t want to sign with a team. It’s not that rare. I’m not saying that’s the case here, but there’s all sorts of room between just taking the highest offer you get and not wanting to sign with a team
  14. I mean, you wonder what goes though a players head. I guess it all depends on the guy. Some might shrug their shoulders and know it’s the business, but others might be like f*** you
  15. No chance with AG unless something changed with the latest injury
  16. Yes, but they’re also 39 and getting close to $45m/year, not 30. Scherzer is going to be getting $45m in his age 42 season and expected to earn it. As mentioned, the team is not factoring any value into Darvish last couple years.
  17. I can respect the different viewpoint. I just think of Darvish as being capable of being a legit Ace. Im probably in the minority but also next year the FA class is very thin. A level below Max and JV, but again, they’re $40m/yr guys
  18. Well, from that point of view I get it. I like Darvish, when you strike out 10+ and walk 2, you’re capable of being an Ace. Admittedly he hasn’t put it together but he’s showing signs of learning to pitch better. Control and such
  19. Well, I mean not officially retires. And I think SD has to keep him on the 40 man to collect insurance
  20. If Darvish repeats 2022, I think you have competition at 3/90 for Darvish and that’s the primary concern when making extensions
  21. Ok. I’m on board then…… I would not have thought a poodle would be at the top of the smart list. Clearly I don’t know anything about rich white ladies passions as I chase after the hot foreign chicks
  22. Well this years saving wasn’t the primary motivation
  23. You have the IQ of a Pug dog. $20m is not the same as it was when he signed for 6/126. So having that be your cap hit for the duration is good
  24. If Darvish breaks in say 2+ years, he probably retires and insurance covers it and the amount is spread out to lessen the luxury tax hit. Darvish’s control has gotten very good, less then 2.0 bb rate over the last 3 years. That’s really good to see as the stuff lessens.
