  1. I don’t feel ashamed at all. Having a good day. I’m in the mood for a milkshake at some point. What was I supposed to feel like an idiot about again? I forget
  2. I actually didn’t know that. The Jays sucking ass has made me pay attention less. I would’ve thought it was safe to say he was cooked. I never claim to always be right with predictions. No one is
  3. Wet noodle truth * Maybe you’re a bit bored with Board Dean role and you’re becoming a contrarian
  4. Those are interesting numbers. What’s the definition of not panning out
  5. Difference has been he’s not good anymore. At least Lewis comes back and hits
  6. When Jim and I share a fantasy player on a team we like, we’re like besties
  7. And before Brownie (who got his name from his time in the Brownie Scouts), says anything about hitting coaches, I’m with him on they don’t mean s*** for Springer and guys in the league a number of years and having success, but they have a lot of input on guys coming up.
  8. They can’t even develop hitters. One has to legitimately wonder if Vlad would’ve had those bad seasons elsewhere. They didn’t tear down Bo’s wild man swing. They did well on the talent evaluation to begin with there. But not much else
  9. It’s a component is deciding who has the better 5 year outlook. Like Jays might have in payroll. It’s a hedge on that really. I had an open mind on Babe even if the pedigree wasn’t there. Not going to do same for latest batch. When has a Buffalo AAAAer stuck stuck around to make an impact.
  10. Like they did for Babe
  11. Wasn’t Keith Top 25 lol. Really? Jays are lucky if those guys are anything more than platoon/bench players
  12. Agreed. I don’t think DET is anything near a TB or Oak though. DET is a blue collar sports city. They’ll never be a top payroll, but I think they’ll spend reasonably as it makes sense. If they take a step in the right direction next year, with their prospects like Jobe and others taking the next step, I don’t think they lose Skubal. As of this point in time though, I think they have much more room for optimism on their outlook than the Jays though
  13. Some team is going to give Bregman like 6 years and really regret it
  14. Soto has balls of iron and backed it up. Imagine turning down $450m bc you thought you could do a lot better in a couple years. I’d be curious to know what kind of Lloyds of London issuance he’s been playing with.
  15. You guys wouldn’t know s*** if you stepped in a puddle of it, over your sneakers
  16. Much stronger pipeline. If they stick to more of the short term veteran contracts, rather than the Baez attempts, they should be good where they don’t need to star chase. Even for the Jays, it’s a bad formula. You can want guys all you want, they have other teams that want them too
  17. No trolling, but who has the better 5 year outlook, including FA spending room and such. All things considered Detroit or Toronto? I feel it’s objectively Detroit for sure.
  18. Are we going to do the gaslighting game? When Vlad signs his $300m+ deal, you guys were saying it all along and I came along for the ride at the end?
  19. Yep. Pujols was going be 32 the next year, had showed signs of slowing down a bit. Was a dozen years ago. All you guys have done is throw out s***** comp, after s***** comp, guessing Vlads 8/200 contract
  20. Gleyber is going to be FA? Not that he’s good that just seems like a quick 6 years. Getting old
  21. They learned from that time they secured the financing and started drawing up the plans for the Babe statue last year. Now the hope is he’s a mlb player bench player.
  22. I’ll guess Soto is 16/600
  23. Who cares really. Going to be 34 next year. Not competing this year or next in all likelihood. I was always a pro CG signing, but that was assuming they’d at least be a WC3 team. At least they’re on the hook for $10m next year, as they likely wouldn’t spend it anyway and they don’t deserve that bottom line money
  24. It’s like a 10 person circle jerk. There is that one sharp dude that passed off the Kumar Rocker stock tip. 11ip at AA- 0 er 16/1 K/BB. About to rise the rankings like a meteor.
  25. Coors is a really nice place for a ballgame. One of my favorites now. Got a chance to see my first game there recently
