    I agree, it really is common sense. I wasn't referring specifically to Hoffman vs Syndergaard, but also the entire Sanchez debacle too.

    It's almost like the people who don't agree with advanced stats will continue to take the polar opposite stance until they're finally right, just to say I told you so. Today there is literally no argument to be made for Hoffman>Syndergaard.

    BABIP stabilized on him I'm assuming. Easier to BABIP your way to a good start when you're getting fed fastballs at the bottom of the order as opposed to being pitched to as a leadoff hitter. Teams made the adjustment. Next step is for Travis to make an adjustment too. I think the kid is great.

    Best case scenario is Hoffman becomes an upper echelon prospect like Syndergaard in a couple of years. Obviously Hoffman is easy to dream on, but he's not close to Thor's level yet. Any other train of thought is delusional.

    I only watched until the 4th inning, but Sanchez isn't going to get borderline pitches if he can't get the ball in the zone more consistently. You can't expect an umpire to call every pitch perfectly when half of his pitches are no where near the zone.
