Phillips' average WAR is right over 3 the last few years. Goins could put up 1-1.5 pretty easily. So thats only around a 2 win upgrade for all that? Hutch himself will probably provide a 2 win upgrade over our 5th starters this year.

What's wrong with what I said? Phillips isn't really that much of an upgrade to be worth those 3 pitchers, not even considering his contract.

That's another reason why that trade makes no sense. Morrow and Hutch could be much, much more valuable next year than they are now.

He's a good defender, but his bat isn't that much better than Izturis'. (Before you freak out look at career wRC+)

So Goins put up 0.4 WAR in 30 games. Phillips had 2.7 WAR this year. Extrapolate Goins for a full season and he's not that far from Phillips. Of course we can't be sure what to expect from Goins, could be better, could be worse. You guys are severely underrating Morrow and Hutch.

This is making me enraged. Morrow, when healthy, is our #1 guy. Hutch was great til he got hurt and he has a. Ton of potential. Sanchez? Only our top prospect with number one upside. Foolish

This is pretty big for the Raptors. Drake is huge and has connections with a lot of the NBA guys. The whole rebrand thing is a great step forward and the ASG should be huge

The world doesn't revolve around you bud. You might be falling for his antics, but that's normal, you're just deciding your board rep. I was referring to the fact that fatcow is acting like he's the spiritual leader of some hardcore gang that doesn't want anyone who can't handle the harsh "council of elders" of this place.
