    Weird platform year for Bregman. Hot start, big injury, cold finish. Probably looks a bit worse than he did one year ago. Not sure his dream contract will be out there!

    If your team cannot win the World Series, the consolation prize most fans want is "memories" Even if you lose in the ALCS/NLCS, it can be a good run for the organization if memories happen. Like the bat flip. Is the 2025 Jays run missing the memories right now? Winning the division was cool. The regular season had its memorable moments. The first round was fun and Vlad had a signature series and moment. But, not sure any of that is enough. Need a walk off homer to force game 7 against Seattle or something like that (before we lose 10-2).

    Just funny how all season long, most baseball fans realize that good teams can play bad for series and weeks at a time but then when it happens in the playoffs everything needs a reason or someone to blame. A lot of it is just disappointingly random. Game 2, none of that is luck it's just a stinker. Game 1, yes Bryce Miller pitched well and the Jays failed to adjust properly to whatever wrinkle he was throwing at them, but the Jays also had: .380 xBA groundout from Vlad 109 mph .750 xBA lineout from Vlad 107.2 mph 14 degrees .500 xBA lineout from Varsho 102.5 mph 20 degrees .570 xBA lineout from Clement 99.1 mph .930 xBA lineout from Santander So a lot or most of a 3-1 game like that is just random variation. Jorge Polanco's RBI single in the eight inning had an xBA of 0.090. Jays have up 11 hard hit balls, Seattle gave up 10. Jays had a 40% hard hit rate and .069 batting average in game 1 lol. The random beauty of baseball. God smiled upon Bryce Miller, for a day.

    Jays don't have the pen to be pulling their good staters at 70 pitches Louis Varland is a home run machine. Such a disappointment.

    Was hoping he could at least pinch hit. I'm imagining a late and close situation where you don't really care about baserunning. Having him for that might outweigh the "use" of having IKF all series. Maybe Toronto makes the WS and Bo is Kirk Gibson.

    It truly is The Jays might even have a better pen all things considered I don't think the projection systems realize the actual weight of: - Mariners P overrated due to home park - Jays offense being actually very good (has been for months) I guess point #1 also goes with the Ms bats being underrated. Maybe their offense is better than WE think. It's a very legit top 6. Yankees-ish.

    Who knows what will happen with Judge Paul Goldschmidt was a mashing MVP in 2022 at 34 years old and then experienced a 50% downturn in WAR followed by a 66% downturn the following year I am thinking 5-6 WAR for Judge next year and then he is washed for the rest of his contract. Huge holes will open up in his swing and he will get into a Worldstar fist fight with Teacherman and get charged with felony assault
