  1. This could potentially be the best start of his career, by game score or FIP. Didn't actually look at his game logs but it has to be top 3 or 5 at least.
  2. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on Corey Kluber at decent value. Mind working that into this deal somehow?
  3. Fourth times a charm! K Rod, get your passport situation in order.
  4. HR that hung in the air for 8 seconds: http://m.mlb.com/video/v28332311/chcmil-francisco-puts-brewers-ahead-with-solo-homer/?c_id=mlb
  5. The one and only reason to sign Juan Francisco: http://m.mlb.com/video/v19127709/chccin-francisco-launches-one-out-of-the-ballpark
  6. I don't see any reason for Francisco to get anything more than a minor league deal. Maybe we see him for a bit if Sierra and Lind get hurt at the same time, or something like that.
  7. Hamate surgery for Ramos! f***ing yuck!
  8. Not buying it. Diaz has 267 career minor league games at second base and he's been given 3111 MiLB PA despite a .655 OPS - I'm pretty sure he can adeptly turn a double play.
  9. Clearly the organization thinks infielder Jonathan Diaz is an even better defender than infielder Ryan Goins, since they have Jonathan Diaz at the shortstop position tonight with Ryan Goins at the less difficult second base position. I was really impressed with that RBI 1B single to centre field at bat against the tough RHP Alex Cobb. And I was equally impressed by the heads up baserunning stolen base of second base to get into run scoring position for Melky Cabrera. Also of note is that he's played ~4 innings without pulling a hamstring, so he's better than infielder Jose Reyes in that respect at least. I know this seems like a troll but I'm being serious, so please don't erase this thread, mods.
  10. Hutch vs. Cobb is such an interesting matchup. A year from now, could we be thinking about Hutch the way people thought about Cobb going into 2013? I guess that's kind of the best case scenario, but I can definitely see it happening (Hutch looking like an underrated #3 type with even more in his skillset going into 2015).
  11. Backup CF and pinch runner! *doink
  12. I was being sarcastic, lol. Just funny how Thole is supposed to be Dickey's caddy, and with him Dickey has a horrendous season opener where he walks more than be ever did in 2013.
  13. Guys, Dickey probably walks like 8 or 9 guys if Kratz was behind the plate today.
  14. Yea I don't think it's really important if the weekly limit applies to prospect promotions. They are pretty rare for each time and they have little to do with weekly matchups. I'd like to keep the weekly limit as is though. It provides a cushion to managers who can't check Yahoo forty times a week. What would we all do if there was no limit and North got to stream 80 mediocre holds guys every week? We'd be absolutely f***ed!
  15. Yeah Wilson looks pretty much done as a back end bullpen option. So are Brandon League and Chris Perez though, in all likelihood. Dodgers will probably be leaning heavily on Jansen and Paco. And maybe Withrow. #HowNotToBuildABullpen
  16. Hyun-jin Ryu doin' work for me here in week 1!
  17. Thanks! Reminder to peeps that when you call a dude up, let us know so we can delete them from the spreadshit.
  18. Yup. And then add Goins to the list after Drew gets signed on day 2 of the season. Goins can probably play CF cuz he's black and thin and athletic and stuff.
  19. Great, so when Colby gets hurt they can just call time-out and tell Gose to rent a car, I guess. If the team didn't have a track record of egregious roster mismanagement then I wouldn't find it appropriate to complain about minor stuff like this.
  20. The Blue Jays have 1029102910 scouts. Fans could plainly see that Gomes had some defensive utility, and JPA was a horrendous defensive catcher. The Blue Jays couldn't see that. It's pretty bad, guys. How about opening up the season without a backup CF this year (like having no backup SS last year)? How about keeping Thole over Kratz solely because of knuckleball comfort (ironically like keeping Blanco over Thole last year)? It's f***ing Deja Blue.

Yeah being a Leafs anti-fan is honestly more fun and rewarding than being a normal fan of any other sports team.
