Jaime Garcia is a poster boy for bad mechanics = injury.

Huge scap load + timing problem = no wonder he can't stay healthy
In frame 48 of this gif his body is in such an awkward position that if you saw just a still and didn't know who it was you'd think he's right handed.
Definitely. I'd never nickle and dime service time on an arm anyway. Chances are every one of them will get hurt multiple times within a 6 year period of control, giving any team amply opportunity to keep them down on a long rehab and gain that bonus year of control (Toronto did this with Hutch).
I was going to make a 5-way winner take all and invite you guys but I accidentally made it all day so I pulled out at the lineup stage. If you get an email/invite for some reason, then don't join. Unless you want to do it anyway but I'm not in it.
Pompey hitting 2nd today. I like it.
Navarro catching BLECHHHHHH : puke :
1. Jose Reyes (S) SS
2. Dalton Pompey (S) CF
3. Jose Bautista ® RF
4. Edwin Encarnacion ® DH
5. Josh Donaldson ® 3B
6. Dioner Navarro (S) C
7. Justin Smoak (S) 1B
8. Kevin Pillar ® LF
9. Devon Travis ® 2B
Having 3 switch hitters in there every day sure is nice...
It's his changeup at like 89mph.
I'd prefer Castro as a guy who can get more than 3 outs most nights. I want to see him pitch 80+ innings out of the pen if he's a reliever all year.
Hopefully he doesn't get cemented into a traditional "closer" gig in the 9th inning. If it's Pedroia-Ortiz-Hanley in the 7th inning I would want Castro coming out of that pen
Gio vs Phillies should be optimal.
I might run Brett Anderson out there.
I doubt McHugh in Texas vs. the Rangers lineup (Prince, Choo, Martin, Moreland, Odor all LHB) comes out of the machine.
Despaigne with the perfect long relief outing (4.2 innings).
I know he's a DDL joke but I think there's something there. I love anybody who throws an eephus pitch as more than a gimmick (8.7% of the time!)
