  1. Jaime Garcia is a poster boy for bad mechanics = injury. http://www.chrisoleary.com/projects/PitchingMechanics101/_Videos/Clips_SD/JaimeGarcia_CF_07202008_001.gif Huge scap load + timing problem = no wonder he can't stay healthy In frame 48 of this gif his body is in such an awkward position that if you saw just a still and didn't know who it was you'd think he's right handed.
  2. Definitely. I'd never nickle and dime service time on an arm anyway. Chances are every one of them will get hurt multiple times within a 6 year period of control, giving any team amply opportunity to keep them down on a long rehab and gain that bonus year of control (Toronto did this with Hutch).
  3. POP has been fluctuating all day. Game time POP was 72% a few hours ago now it's 14%.
  4. I was going to make a 5-way winner take all and invite you guys but I accidentally made it all day so I pulled out at the lineup stage. If you get an email/invite for some reason, then don't join. Unless you want to do it anyway but I'm not in it.
  5. Oh I know it makes sense, lol. I just wish they had a backup who could catch and throw.
  6. Hard call aside from McAllister. Noesi is junk. At least McHugh and Holland both have the talent to shut down any lineup.
  7. Pompey hitting 2nd today. I like it. Navarro catching BLECHHHHHH : puke : 1. Jose Reyes (S) SS 2. Dalton Pompey (S) CF 3. Jose Bautista ® RF 4. Edwin Encarnacion ® DH 5. Josh Donaldson ® 3B 6. Dioner Navarro (S) C 7. Justin Smoak (S) 1B 8. Kevin Pillar ® LF 9. Devon Travis ® 2B Having 3 switch hitters in there every day sure is nice...
  8. It's his changeup at like 89mph. I'd prefer Castro as a guy who can get more than 3 outs most nights. I want to see him pitch 80+ innings out of the pen if he's a reliever all year. Hopefully he doesn't get cemented into a traditional "closer" gig in the 9th inning. If it's Pedroia-Ortiz-Hanley in the 7th inning I would want Castro coming out of that pen
  9. If we're just talking about 50/50s then obviously the optimal lineup plays will benefit from a bigger pool of games
  10. Ah, didn't know you were talking about just afternoon.
  11. Gio vs Phillies should be optimal. I might run Brett Anderson out there. I doubt McHugh in Texas vs. the Rangers lineup (Prince, Choo, Martin, Moreland, Odor all LHB) comes out of the machine.
  12. If jays_fever doesn't post for a few days he's probably AFK grieving because I ate his babies tonight
  13. makes sense that you were too scared to play me
  14. So close to big money in FD tonight. 40/1381 in $10 tournament.
  15. Everybody cheer for Revere-Ruiz-Utley next time through the Phillies order so I can cash big in this FD tourny
  16. Despaigne with the perfect long relief outing (4.2 innings). I know he's a DDL joke but I think there's something there. I love anybody who throws an eephus pitch as more than a gimmick (8.7% of the time!)
  17. If Loup or Cecil suck this year, could be in the pen by August. lol
  18. Effectively Wild outing so far from Norris. Gotta like those Competitive Walks. Now the Blue Jays need some Productive Outs.
  19. They're saying it's Kennedy's leg
  20. http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/1979-Around-Baseball-2014?p=233681&viewfull=1#post233681 Hellickson BABIP god
  21. Post your DK usernames and I'll make a $2 5-way winner take all for tonight ed: nvm first game is too soon. weird 6:40 start. tomorrow
  22. 173 is currently #1 in the 5700 person tournament I'm in 166 is #2
  23. Still need a taker!
