  1. Yeah, he throws hard. Has to be 97-98.
  2. Looking to entice? How's Kalfus doing these days? I'm sure 2015 is his bust out year.
  3. Nice throw A.J.. Goins is smooooooooooooooooooth.
  4. Has DSJ been invited to spring training? It's a mega long shot but if he has a solid spring who knows?
  5. We all know Saunders is made of glass. The only true statement you made is that Dominicans kids have to play on s***** fields which develops their skills ahead of other nationalities. Combine this with their true love for the game, nice weather all year, and you get tons of high quality players from a small country.
  6. You seem to be a pretty cool dude and everyone here seems to have a lot of respect for you, but saying that Dominicans can withstand more pain than Canadians is a f***ing joke buddy. Replace the Canadian WWII military with Dominicans and there's your joke bro. Don't say this is about athletes either, you just said Dominicans walk 10km to watch games in horrible conditions. If Canadians were in similar conditions, we would endure just as well, if not better. We don't have to because we made our country the way it is through hard work and sacrifice, and continue to do so. If the temperature in the Dominican dropped to 10°C, everyone would be wearing fur coats.
  7. AA should have waited out Melky. Saunders in not a player you jump on prematurely.
  8. Saunders in a nutshell.
  9. Lllllllloooooooooooollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Most likely given the fact that Kawasaki would only face RHP and Tolleson LHP. How much more though and is it worth the extra roster spot? I'd rather have Goins start and give the extra spot to a well rounded speedy defender who can steal you a base late in a game or score on any ball hit in the gap from first base. Tolleson or Kawasaki is dead bench weight.
  11. I agree. The hate will escalate with every blunder he makes, especially in the late crucial times. His ego will not easily allow Gibby to replace him at SS late in a game while protecting a small lead, this will also add to the hate. Reyes moving to 2B will make the Jays a better team and would probably land Reyes another 2-3 year deal somewhere after his contract expires.
  12. That's pretty funny, given that Goins would out WAR all these players over the course of a full season (possibly not Travis, but he is a wild card atm).
  13. A "Honk on Bobo" response coming in 3..2..1 Lol
  14. No he wasn't. Casuals aren't familiar with that type of terminology. The guy is just an insecure prick.
  15. Who the f*** do you think you are, seriously.
  16. Wouldn't they be the same, since their offensive contributions are equal? Be nice..
  17. C'mon, give me a break. Everybody knows it means batting average champion, unless you're new to the game. Worried about the casuals being misled? LMAO.
  18. 2nd would arguably be the only other spot where your best hitter should hit. If you want to leverage Bautista's bat overall, then you give him a good chance of coming to bat in the first inning with runners on. Worst case he comes up with nobody on like he would hitting lead off anyway, just with two out now. He 's still guaranteed a first inning AB.
  19. Why should the phrase "batting champion" never be used? The phrase has been around since forever and everyone with a shimmer of pubic hair knows it means batting average champion.
  20. Reyes is a former batting champion and has a proven track record. Saunders is one season removed from being barely mediocre. Saunders is destined to hitting sixth or lower unless he proves otherwise. With Reyes' running game on the decline, he would be great hitting second. May as well bat Martin and his 400 OBP lead off until Pompey develops into a MLB lead off hitter. Reyes is the best option in the top five to pull the ball through the right side with a runner on first, or advancing a runner to third with less than two out. I prefer Donaldson batting clean up for two reasons.. Bautista is just flat out a better overall hitter and should bat third and Donaldson is more athletic than EE, thus innings have much better chances at being extended with Donaldson's legs. EE is way more dangerous with men on and batting fifth gives you a better shot at that.
