I agree with the concept, but why remove him from his team mates and the team during a pennant run? -
1. Travis (2B) 2. Carrera (LF) 3. Encarnacion (1B) 4. Martin © 5. Tulowitski (DH) 6. Saunders (RF) 7. Upton (CF) 8. Barney (3B) 9. Goins (SS) Sanchez (SP) JD still out with a sore thumb, but Tulo is back in the mix. Let's score four or five runs early and let Sanchez do his thing. I think we see a solid performance all around after yesterday's disaster. Let's take this f***ing series.

Is the rule for a player to be playoff eligible that they have to be on the 25 man for at least one day prior to September 1st, aside from injury related issues?

Understood.. It's ridiculous when Goins strikes out how the board flames him when he's here for his defence. If Travis had similar offensive skills as Goins, would he be in the show? That throw from Martin was in the air all the way right over the bag and it clanks of his wrist into the outfield? That's insane at this level. He better get his s*** together or else his future is in left field, or possibly third base.
