    Can you not absorb the fact that accuracy and arm strength are two separate skill sets? Do you really also think the coaching of today is far superior to 30 years ago? I'm sorry but you're wrong except for the fact that players are definitely stronger now. As far as speed goes, there's not much if any difference in the above average runners 30 years ago vs today.

    Remembering outfielder's arms being more accurate 20-30 years ago is hardly an archaic point of view. This is all i was saying but the situation got stretched out and exaggerated to the point where i should feel i have no right remembering anything like that unless i can back it up with concrete evidence. Meh..

    Jesus Spanky, i know this. This isn't relevant when it come to accuracy though. This is just like in the NBA where free throw shooting isn't what it was. Are you going to say we should all assume this is a farce because the players are bigger, stronger and faster?

I guess you are just saying that my opinion is full of s*** on this matter. What's that say about you and others like you? The funny thing is i'm not totally anti-science at all. Some of the measurements with the tools of today are actually refreshing, especially on the offensive side.
