    How does pulling him at that time come across as Schneider being savvy in saving the pen? Should Schneider get props for not pulling him earlier while he was cruising on a low pitch count? It was obviously the right time with Gunner up for the fourth time against Berrios at 90+ pitches representing the tying run. Going to Mayza at that point wasn't rocket science.

    This just goes to show how much other damage can happen when not having depth in your system. Atkins is always in a position of weakness, needing to overpay to get things done. This is a direct result of not building quality depth in his eighth year.

    Baltimore hires new management (ex Astros guy I think) and in roughly three years, they put together a nice competive team with more coming on the farm. We've had Atkins for seven full years now and....... Shapiro you need to man the f*** up and fire your boy wonder fast.
