    Ross had a window of opportunity to trade Kirk when his value was high after making the ASG. Spanky is now officially in full blown clown mode.

    I understand that Arizona probably didn't want Kirk or Jansen opposed to Moreno. Can you blame them? Also, Ross could have explored other avenues which included Kirk in a trade for a left handed bat that played decent defence, or signed a LHH outfielder and trade Kirk for something else. Could have probably landed a quality late inning arm for him plus a spect. Management not taking Kirk’s body type into consideration is a big L.

    You can't count on Kirk long term with his body type. Yeah I'd say Kirk has shown to be the better hitter, but the difference is negligible to the point where you keep the more athletic better defender.

    At least you have a bit of a bigger sample in the Majors with Varsho. Having a premium defending athletic catcher valuable.

    He was on IG in the clubhouse minutes before the game making a video of himself talking some stupid s*** in Spanish. He's not focused.

    Moreno sucks? He's literally a kid who is already a top three defender at his position. Sure he hits for no power, but has more than decent bat to ball skills and should hover consistently in the .270 /. 330 range while not being a plug on the bases. If I had to choose between Varsho and Moreno straight up, I'm keeping Moreno and would have traded Kirk.

    Good thing Shneids burned Pearson yesterday by bringing him in being down 6-1 in the sixth. Looking like we could really use him today.

    Yeah I know it's negligible, but imo there are some players who maintain themselves in a consistent mind set no matter what, which usually makes them a bit better than a player who reacts more anxiously. They're were good Jays run producers in the past. Carter, Delgado were probably the top two. Tabler has great risp numbers also. I think it's a random thing that some players do better than others. This is what makes baseball the best sport on the planet.

    Agreed, but it's Rivera who put him in that spot to begin with.

    Holy f*** people.. Rivera was initially waving him before putting up a very late stop sign. My problem is that Rivera has a tendency of waving a runner initially like an excited school girl in gym class before he even makes a proper assessment of the play. He needs to not make any decisions until the runner is about to round the bag and be more decisive and demonstrative. I wish we still had Butterfield.
