I really hate Gibbons so much. After the visit to the mound, Gibby should have put on the hit and run. You know you're getting a fastball for a strike in that situation, and Pillar got a perfect pitch on the outer half to shoot the other way. -

Tons of off balanced swings resulting in weak contact. It's frustrating when an offence collectively approaches each pitch expecting fastball no matter what. I don't recall anybody really squaring up an off speed pitch today.

There is something to this. The hitters and ball parks combined make pitching in the AL East difficult. He's just a kid and is learning and building endurance on the fly. You can't expect much more.
