  1. Season starts in 10 days.
  2. IMO were at a point in the spring where pitchers need to plan and sequence in getting big league hitters out, period. You can work on your breaking balls to the lesser types, the pen or live bp.
  3. Oh look, Kikuchi gives up a HR on a breaking ball to a LHH. Their game plan was obvious.
  4. Dante Bichette fixes Tapia's swing and he turns into Michael Brantley.
  5. Siddle explained it perfectly, poor sequencing and awareness. How do you not get into a LHH kitchen as a LHP that can hit 95-97 is beyond me.
  6. He made Stanton look foolish on 3 pitches, so he did throw some nice sliders today. Nonetheless, if he can't decently command three pitches, he's shouldn't be a swing man. 7th and some 8th inning high leverage situations should where he should be used with the ability to go multiple innings if needed. Either that or obtain another decent pen arm and have Pearson go 3-4 innings per start in Buffalo while he works on his command, especially on his secondaries.
  7. Bird flying north this spring.
  8. Not really sure about that. I keep hearing the squabbling was over Moreno. I say forget about Ramirez and let's build sustainable winning. We're going to need Moreno and Elvis contributing as every day players on the cheap in a few years.
  9. Kirk can rake.
  10. Elvis poised to make some noise this year.
  11. Bird with a great AB. I think he comes north, at least during the 28 man in April.
  12. Biggio might be the best #9 hitter in the MLB this year. Just stay healthy kid.
  13. Why is everyone worried that Tapia will be the primary left fielder versus righties? He's not taking significant AB's away from Gurriel. He'll start 2-3 times a week and be used late in games. He's basically a healthy Pompey.
  14. I like the trade. Tapia will add a nice dynamic on the field and in the clubhouse, plus we get a lottery ticket. The question remains on how much we're sending back.
  15. I agree. Re-visit Ramirez at the deadline, he'll be cheaper.
  16. I think I heard Buck say he has "veesha" issues Lol
  17. I guess it's safe to say that his hip is fully healed.
  18. Nah, everyone needs to calm down a bit. Batting fifth should be the highest it gets.
  19. Hey, Montoyo has lost his mind early on. Swearing on live tv, lol.
  20. Yeah.. The way he took that good Nola change with two strikes for a ball in itself was impressive for a player his age. Following up with a two strike approach bullet HR on a great looking swing with crazy bat speed, you can see massive potential.
  21. Ken Rosenthal just tweeted Jays are still actively going after J. Ramirez with the notion that he'll play second base. HOLY f***
  22. Otto Lopez could be another name involved.
  23. Walker will get Kikuchi to eat up in the zone with the fastball like he did with Ray. The upside is there, let Walker hopefully work his magic.
  24. A serviceable starter in a season where the full schedule will be crunched with nine inning double headers and not many days off. Stripling will the depth arm while Pearson gets his shot to start, and you know Pearson's innings will be limited this year.
