  1. Gibbons managed very well tonight. Used the right guys in the right situations. And the Jays lose. Last night, Gibby made a few mistakes and the jays won. Managers have NOTHING to do with a team's W-L record.
  2. Umm... Not really. But it would be noce to win tonight
  3. This thread has turned into "ECJF makes regular updates on Jays ticket prices on stubhub". Nobody cares. Come back here if you want playoff tickets in a couple weeks.
  4. What alot of posters here fail to understand is that Gibbons is managing PEOPLE, not just numbers. He knows them better than us, and he's managing for the long haul. Gotta keep in mind people's mental issues and attitude problems. Sometimes players have "off" days, or even "off" weeks.
  5. Playoffs =/= Regular season
  6. Also, I think Hutch could potentially be more than just a mop-up/long man out of the pen. He obviously has strikeout stuff, maybe the extra MPH on the fastball makes him dominant.
  7. Anyone think that Osuna's recent struggles can be attributed to tiredness? He's got a career-high number of innings pitched this year and his fastball looks flat and hittable.
  8. Said he wanted to give Sanchez a chance, knowing that he would give him a quick hook and that Cecil would be able to pick up some strikeouts. Then talked about how Cecil is one of the "better relievers in baseball" and that all the good relievers rack up strikeouts.
  9. Brian McCann
  10. The bandwagon holds 5 million.
  11. I won't even come on here tonight if the Jays lose
  12. I don't think anyone here noticed, and they definitely didn't talk about it on SN, but Donaldson had a major wrist wrap on his forearm and hand all throughout August. He clearly had some kind of injury, but August was his best month. Right now his timing is just off. I don't think it has anything to do with his wrist, unless he injured it alot worse in NY.
  13. Jays vs Royals baby
  14. Spanky was that you?
  15. No. The question is which 2 of Dickey/Stroman/Estrada will start.
  16. Yeah. Its great to be optimistic, but we also have to be realistic. Nobody recovers from this injury in 2-3 weeks, let alone recovering enough to swing a f***ing baseball bat at an elite level.
  17. Yankees game for sure
  18. I feel like AA know's Tulo won't be back, he's just scared to admit it to media.
  19. Mets royally f***ing up this inning
  20. So what you're saying is run diffential means jack s***? Yup, sounds about right.
  21. Yeah I find it funny that Lawrie is playing 2B every day while Valencia is at 3B. Valencia is doing quite well as an everyday player for the A's. I still think we should have kept Valencia over Colabello, but whatever.
  22. Maybe. I don't think we can label Travis as injury-prone just yet though. He had the same injury that never healed properly and was re-injured.
  23. Can anyone tell me exactly how it works when selling tickets that technically don't exist on stubhub? Would the money only be charged/paid once the games are made official? What happens with unplayed games?
  24. It's very unlikely Edwin and Bautista will both be re-signed. It is NOT unlikely that Tulo will provide more WAR per season than either of them.
