  1. I haven't seen him do anything terrible since then really
  2. Yeah that sounds like a good idea. You really don't need a car if you're just going to watch jays games. Other attractions like the CN tower and Ripley's Aquarium are literally right next to the stadium, if you want other things to do while you're here.
  3. Those seats are nice. 2nd level behind homeplate and you have dedicated servers/waitresses that bring you drinks and food. Most/all of those seats are owned by businesses, and are given to employees/clients for free. Guy selling them on kijiji (if they are legit) probably got them for free and is looking to make a quick buck. I'm not sure its worth the risk for 100 bucks, though you might be able to talk them down to like 50$ I'd probably take the hotel nearest to the park. There are lots or restaurants and bars nearby Also note that the airport is not really close to the downtown core, its probably a 30-60 minute trip depending on traffic. (EDIT: forgot about the new express train, that should make it a quick trip.)
  4. Ok... Storen sucks because he hasn't found his fastball yet, and Cecil sucks because he hasn't found his curve yet. They both have the track records that say they will likely find their stuff and provide 1 WAR each.
  5. Lol. He's got several swinging strikeouts with the curve already this season. 2 against Ellsbury and Texeira last night
  6. Encouraging things: Chavez and Floyd have looked pretty good so far (except for the grand slam to Holt)
  7. Yes, that series against Oakland. In that series, Machado: - freaked out about Donaldson tagging him too hard - flung his bat at Donaldson on purpose - hit Derek Norris in the head with his backswing twice in a row and laughed about it
  8. I'm not sure how you can sit and say Cecil is fine but Storen isn't. They both have good track records
  9. I don't think Bautista has ever come close to the level of douchebaggery that Machado displayed during that Oakland series.
  10. I can almost guarantee there will be some kind of argument/fight between Stroman and Adam Jones this season. Watch
  11. He's not advocating a trade, just saying that other pitchers should be favoured in high-leverage situations over Cecil right now. That is defensible, as Cecil has looked like hot garbage in 4(?) of his appearances so far. Why should we let Cecil keep blowing games when we can let him pitch in low-leverage situations until he finds his stuff?
  12. Yeah he was acting like a douche that week
  13. Bautista and Ortiz are the biggest jerks in the sport? Apparently they don't watch any other teams outside of the AL East Carlos Gomez, Jered Weaver, Papelbon, Puig, etc
  14. And they always call the Yankees "MFY", standing for "mother f***ing Yankees". Its just childish.
  15. At least Pompey is only 23 years old, has very limited MLB playing time, and could prove to be an above-average outfielder. We already know exactly what Cola and Smoak are.
  16. I don't see any reason for Smoak to not be starting the next 2 games
  17. Pillar is definitely an 8/9 hitter and nothing more. Ditto for Goins
  18. If Smoak doesn't start the next 2 games, i'm done with Gibbons
  19. Cecil has been lights out for like 3 straight seasons...
  20. It would be fair to re-evaluate his contract at the end of the season.
  21. Above-average bat and elite defence. I don't see a problem with Martin
