  1. When you have a season as bad as Cutch's 2016, you have to be wary. I'm iffy about signing Donaldson for 7-8 years right now. If Donaldson put up a 1 WAR season playing 150 games next year, I would not be thinking about a 7-8 year extension.
  2. Go blow yourself
  3. I'm not comfortable giving up 4 more years of a great young MLB player in Travis, and one of our top prospects for another guy over age 30. Yes, I know how good McCutchen WAS, but there is not guarantee he bounces back. He was A LOT worse than his career norms last year. A LOT worse. Couple that with the fact he's on the wrong side of 30, I would be cautious to give up Travis + Alford for him. You look at guys like Tulo and Martin, who have gotten worse past age 30. McCutchen might now be in that group. This team needs to get younger, not older.
  4. Gotta think a trade for Cutch would have to include one of Travis/Stroman/Sanchez. Maybe something like Travis + Alford? I wouldn't do that trade. Cutch was pretty bad last year. If we could get Cutch for a package based around Pompey, i'd be all for it. But I don't see that happening.
  5. Yup. People here have mentioned him
  6. This. Bautista and Edwin aren't the only good bats on the market.
  7. AND he had to watch his team in the playoffs on TV
  8. I disagree
  9. If that was the case, then every QO free agent would sign within the first week of free agency. I'm sure Jose and his agent have an idea of what he's worth, maybe a team is willing to go 3/60. But things change, and that offer could evaporate.
  10. You can't just go out into free agency and then find out the contract you wanted isn't there, and then go back and accept the QO.
  11. Texiera is retiring dumbass
  12. Too bad that's not how the QO works...
  13. Totally agree.
  14. Don't be surprised, money talks. Everyone thought there was anger between Price and the Redsox, but 200 million made that anger magically evaporate.
  15. Martin has 3 years left, but Tulo is signed until after the 2020 season.
  16. Nope. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if he signs with the Orioles or Rangers. Seems like a good fit for those teams.
  17. Cost is too much for Inciarte. Get that idea out of your head.
  18. I wouldn't touch Trumbo with a 10ft pole.
  19. Blackmon isn't THAT good. Last year seems like more of an outlier.
  20. This would be the worst possible time to trade Stroman
  21. Miller still has 2 years left on his contract, 9 million per.
  22. >tells jays fans to move on >keeps replying to jays fans
  23. I would love to have Moss as a DH/1B type. Great lefty bat, can also make emergency LF/RF starts if needed. Signing Pearce and Moss would go a long way in solidifying the offense.
