    Jays/Yanks at 1 Padres/Dbacks at 4 Mets/Nats at 7 Whitesox/Angels at 10 Glorious day. AND a holiday tomorrow
  6. Stangstag
Lol damn. Is there a clause in this contract that Lindor has to give 50 million to Albies??
  7. Stangstag
Jesus. Feels like that contract is going to look terrible halfway through.
  8. Stangstag
I agree, 10/325 is more than fair. I wouldn’t even be comfortable with that contract personally. There’s like 4 or 5 all-star caliber shortstops available this offseason so the price should be slightly lower

With Springer guaranteed to be out, anyone wanna guess the lineup for tomorrow?? 1. Semien 2. Biggio 3. Bichette 4. Hernandez 5. Guerrero 6. Tellez 7. Gurriel 8. Grichuk 9. Jansen
  10. Stangstag
    Ughhh please no

They must be really high on Zeuch to throw him right into the fire in the Bronx in our opening series

I don't think its right to start trying to turn the fanbase against your newly acquired star player before he's even played a game. I think these tweets make sense if Lindor was a free agent, but he isn't. The correct course of action would have been to say "we made a strong offer and we hope he accepts". If he doesn't, then nobody is really mad because you still have him for a year and you still have a chance to sign him in the offseason, and that's when you can start talking numbers on twitter.
  13. Stangstag
Sounds like a very honest but insufferable guy

Steve Cohen is pretty much Trevor Bauer if he owned a baseball team. Feels like these Lindor talks on twitter are coming dangerously close to tampering... I'm almost certain he'll do/say something really stupid within the next 5 years and the league forces him to sell the team

You should call up the front office and tell them to reconsider. Since you’re so intelligent and know so much about the intricacies of the sport.

    Here we gooo
  17. Stangstag
You’re just so much smarter than everyone else here. But you don’t need to make all of us feel so stupid just because we couldn’t figure out what Harper was doing.
  18. Stangstag
    He’s tall
  19. Stangstag
Excellent dp turned by Bichette and Semien
  20. Stangstag
Ouch. Kinda feel a bit bad for the guy, he’s absolutely raking when he’s on the field but he’s been dealing with nagging injuries to his legs the last couple seasons. Could potentially prevent him from cashing in when he’s finally a free agent
  21. Stangstag
Lol what in f*** does this even mean
  22. Stangstag
I agree but I can’t see it happening. FO doesn’t want to upset their new 150million dollar man right out of the gate, and Springer doesn’t want to let down his new fan base by missing time before the season even begins. Recipe for disaster

I just rewatched the interview with Ross a few days back to hear exactly what he said... Seems like Springer’s discomfort was mild so they thought nothing of it, however the discomfort continued a for a few days so they finally decided to do an MRI which revealed a “grade 2 oblique sprain”. They seemed to be surprised about the MRI results because Springer was pretty much playing through it already. So they’re resting him for “4-5 days” to see how it heals and if he’ll be able to play through it. Ross said Springer is extremely motivated to play opening day and that unless the front office specifically steps in and says no, he’ll likely be playing. So yeah sounds like he’s gonna play the first few games and then likely hit the DL for a month or two once he aggravates it

Its so nice to have a legit shortstop like Semien ready to shift positions for when Bichette inevitably gets injured. Semien - SS Biggio - 2B Vlad - 3B Tellez - 1B For when Bichette is injured. Could even roll with Lourdes at 1B and Grich/Springer/Teo in the OF. Hoping the Springer injury isn’t too serious
