  1. There’s a very real possibility that Shatkins didn’t think Charlie would be THIS BAD. Its extremely evident now that we are trying to compete for a playoff spot in a full regular season. I’m almost positive they are re-evaluating their stance on Charlie and are making serious considerations as to whether they fire him or not in the offseason. I’m 100% positive Charlie will throw away another 5 wins before the end of the season in similar fashion to what we saw this past week. There’s a real chance he’s fired after the season.
  2. He has a career 4.7 walks per 9. That’s a whole .5 worse than Robbie Ray. His stuff plays yes, but only when he can establish that he can throw strikes. This is probably the true Chatwood.
  3. Lol these olympic teams are kind of a joke
  4. Unfortunately, THIS is probably the true Chatwood. We were lucky to squeeze some good use out of him early on but now he’s back to his career norms
  5. Yeah exactly, that’s my point. I do not want the bluejays to lose the wildcard game this year in Orioles fashion because Charlie is an idiot.
  6. There's no f***ing doubt in my mind Charlie would consider leaving Romano/Merryweather/Dolis/whoever (a strong arm) sitting in the bullpen if we're playing the wildcard game on the road and the game is tied. "Gotta have someone ready to close out the game if we take the lead!"
  7. Just think back to how Buck Showalter brought in Ubaldo Jiminez in the 11th inning of the wildcard game instead of THE BEST RELIEF PITCHER IN BASEBALL. Did he lose the game? No, the players did. But he did put his team in a SIGNIFICANTLY worse situation vs going with Britton. We have witnessed Charlie put the team in a significantly worse situation vs the average manager probably 4-5 times IN ONE WEEK. Imagine how much these mistakes will be magnified if this team makes the playoffs again. Imagine being on the Orioles side of that wildcard game, because that definitely could be us this year. He HAS to go.
  8. I firmly believe they’ll fire him in the offseason. Its gotten too bad to ignore any longer.
  9. Just watched the Indians feed of the inning, their announcers are in absolute disbelief that Montoyo didn't do anything until the game was tied. They're clowning on him. They literally said "have to thank Tyler Chatwood and Charlie Montoyo for this win"
  10. Yeah... if you want to publicly embarrass your pitcher (which you really shouldn't be doing) you don't do it in a 1-run game. Throw him into a blowout... like the first game of the series, and let him walk 8 in a row to show him how pathetic he is.
  11. Maybe he has dementia or something??
  12. Its definitely not just the one game Chatwood has been bad... Has he been watching the same games we are?
  13. Charlie is the first manager to push me to drink
  14. I think we need to classify Chatwood as a C-tier reliever again. He IS NOT one of our best relief pitchers.
  15. Im fine with using Romano to secure the first win. Its debatable but I get it. You cannot, for any reason, under any circumstance, let a relief pitcher walk 4 batters in a row in the final inning of a 1-run game. Unless that pitcher is named Chapman AND the bullpen is depleted.
  16. Charlie has ruined 2 Sundays in a row for me. f*** this guy
  17. Or you look at his career stats and realize Chatwood’s good few weeks was just small sample size mirage. That’s if you have a brain, which charlie does not
  18. I’d DFA Chatwood and fire Charlie after the s*** we saw today (also taking last week into account)
  19. Its not even the first time... literally the exact same pitcher lost us a game the exact same way THIS SAME WEEK. I just can’t
  20. It does feel like that sometimes. Everyone could see Chatwood looked bad in the previous inning.
